Former LSU star Leonard Fournette sent out a tweet on Thursday to defend his former running back coach, Frank Wilson.

Wilson coached Fournette when he was the running back coach and recruiting coordinator at LSU from 2010-2015. He returned to Baton Rouge in 2022 as running back coach under Brian Kelly and took over as interim head coach after Kelly was fired on October. 26.

Wilson is expected to be named running back coach at Ole Miss sometime after LSU's Bowl game against Houston on Dec. 27, which LSU fans have mixed feelings about.

People are allowed to have opinions, but not to spread rumors. My "opinion" is that Coach Wilson would like to bring one or more of LSU running backs with him to Ole Miss. Anyone who thinks otherwise is also entitled to their opinion.

This is why I hate social media. People run with random rumors and it ruins someone’s career and how people perceive him

People need to realize it's not personal, it's a business. This isn't high school, this is ncaa. New coach comes in and picks his staff. End of story. Quit crying and move on Frank is a good guy and coach. Many players and coaches that loved lsu have moved on for life. This isn't new. This happens to coaches all over America.

Lenny does commercials with slimy personal injury attorneys. Why should we care what he says?

Frank Wilson is a great guy. Fully support Frank whatever he decides to do. Thanks for all you have done for LSU.

If Frank Wilson was everything that embodies LSU, he wouldn't be working for Ol' fricking Miss.

This comment is beyond dumb even for TD standards. So lets break it down:
-Wilson wants to coach and Wilson also wants to make a lot of money.
You still following?
-Kiffin isnt giving him an opportunity to coach so therefor he is going to another school that will allow him to coach.

How the hell is that so hard to understand?

The Rant has got a great big hole, right in the middle of itself. And can never hate enough, or complain enough, or inflict enough harsh criticism to ever fill it.

Agree. FW has been great to LSU and vice versa. Have some class and leave the door open for him to return one day.

LSU fans can be the best AND worst, at times

But mostly the worst. The biggest cry baby, complaining, know it alls that love bashing kids and coaches behind anonymity. Gutless and spineless.

Fournette is right. There is nothing to gain by crucifying Frank Wilson. He gave a great deal to LSU. It just didn't work out...Life.

If our O-line and Brad Davis didn’t suck so much, we may have been able to run the ball.

It is a shame that LF7 never made $1 in college. He would have had some massive NIL opportunities coming out of st. Aug to get paid.

You are joking right?? Thesr kids have been getting paid for decades. Which makes the poor exploited college athlete arguement so laughable. Things were just fine (with the stars getting paid) before this NIL and transfer BS.

You are full of shite…college couldn’t keep their mouth shut enough to get paid very much at all and not talk about it.
