There has been a lot celebrating going on at ESPN by former LSU players this week but Kirk Herbstreit is hoping the current Tigers stay hungry.

Here's what he had to say on Twitter Thursday:

Booger sucks off Saban all the time. He can stay an Alabama fan as far as I’m concerned.

Booger hates bama lolol

Sounds like good advice to me. If we lose a game remaining on our schedule it will have dire consequences. Take your destiny in your own hands and win them all.

Like I told my buddies at the watch party the other night - There was only one sad thing about the game, it took us eight years to get that feeling of euphoria. Reminded me of Hog fans here in Ark. in 2007 when they beat us. They thought they had really won something. It was a great win the other night but we haven't won anything just yet.

Lets talk about how Spears lived in Sabans office until this win happened! Clark and McFarland have always been true but Marcus just jumped on the wagon! down vote all you want! yeah yeah I know he shut Steven A up he has been with Saban since the Miles era!

Give him a pass...Dude played for Saban. Can understand his special relationship with his HC that lasts a lifetime. But make no mistake about it, Spears bleeds purples &gold.

Fans and alums reactions have nothing to do with the actual team’s prep for future opponents HERBIE

Shut up Herbie and others!! Let the fans and former players celebrate dude, we've endured 8 years of losing and WE TOOK IT!!! Let us have our fun. The players are focused.

He’s not saying we can’t enjoy it and have fun. He’s def not talking to the fans. He’s saying don’t read the press clippings and start feeling entitled. Just keep doing what they have been and don’t get caught up in all of it. There’s still football to be played. Their celebration should have lasted 24 hours max. Alabama week is over now though. The championship hasn’t been won yet and we still have a lot of games left.

He should go tell Ryan Clark, Booger, and Marcus to STFU. He may want to slap them, for emphasis.

I think our team has amazing focus this year with the leaders. That being said I love all the hype these former guys are bringing and welcome it with open arms. If you let this stuff distract you then you just don't have what it takes. This team has what it takes and you can see that in the player interviews this week. They all talk about the focus they have for Ole Miss.

He's right about this. Hell, LSU will be without both of their starting OT's this week. Need to focus on keeping Joe Burrow out of the ICU. But, I believe Coach O will have the team focused for Ole Miss. Heaven knows this is the Rebel's GOTY.

I know your as shook up over the Bama loss as much as Gary Danielson is. Have no fear the Tigers are focused on Ole Miss. What’s that you say you are not a Homer for Alabama, but immediately after the game providing alternate paths the the CFP for Bama. FAKE NEWS! This is MAGA Country

Agreed.... Keep focus on the task at hand, and as Joe Burrow himself said, they didn’t go into the season saying they were going to beat Alabama. There’s many more goals than just Bama. Many more to come... FINISH STRONG TIGERS....

KH is right. There is nothing wrong with what he said. I can see Spears on the SEC Network having fun on set with other SEC Network Anaylists and Broadcasters who are former SEC players. However, I think the national guys should probably tap the breaks a bit.
