Fox Sports College Football analyst Joel Klatt recently ranked LSU's Garrett Nussmeier as his 6th-best quarterback for next season and thinks the 2025 Tiger squad "should be" Brian Kelly's best team he's had at LSU. Per On3:
quote:

“Garrett Nussmeier might not be the most athletic guy out there, but he’s huge, and he threw for over 4,000 yards last year,” Klatt said. “He’s an absolute gunslinger, good and bad. He can take some chances, but in that offense with Brian Kelly, you know that he’s going to put up numbers.

“LSU is going to be a really good football team. This should be Brian’s best LSU team, I think, at least. Got to cut down on turnovers, 15 last year. And for a traditional pocket guy that’s not going to bail you out with his legs, minimizing turnovers is a must. You cannot turn the football over if you’re going to be a traditional pocket guy.”

You know what trips me out the most about this Nuss talk? Everybody talking like Nuss just started throwing INT's last season. Well every time Nuss has took the field he has thrown an INT even in the spring game, but when has a QB with a gunslanging mentality has not thrown an INT or two? I expect Nuss to be in the forefront of the Heisman race with a year of starting after throwing for over 4,000 yards. Nuss experience and the plethora of weapons he has to do total damage with will make a hell of a difference in the '25.

I hate when Nuss puts his hands on his head after he screws up. Dude either don't screw up or show some leadership and take your screw up better. It's a terrible look.

"take your screw up better"....WTF do you want him to do? Pout on the sidelines? Smash a water cooler? Cry and point at his WR's? Blame the referees?

He puts his hands on his head, and you're complaining that he isn't a leader?

You lost me at Manning, a guy riding pine for 2 years behind a 7th rounder.

Nuss isn't "huge" at all. What the Hell is this guy talking about.

I would not take anybody 1-5 on that list above nuss.
I would probably take lagway, but somehow he is below nuss on the list.

I hear Nuss is working on his running game by taking ballet, kung fu and yoga. Gone be like Gumbie out there this year.

When he takes off, they're gonna play the nutcracker song so he'll go off.

Opinions are like assholes.
Nuss’s biggest problem is his OL.
Arch @ #2 lmao. If he was that good why was he behind Ewers?

What did he say that’s wrong. Pretty spot on, I’d say

And no, his biggest problem was throwing to wrong color jersey last year

Manning at 2 LOL

He’s not huge at all, but he is among the more athletic pocket passers. So reverse it Joel.

Exactly! Listed at 6’2 200 ( surprised at the weight) and while he’s not elusive, he’s not Mettenberger, he has enough athleticism to move the sticks
