During his show this week, Fox Sports' Joel Klatt discussed LSU's firing of Brian Kelly and potential candidates for the job.

Two of those candidates need to be Urban Meyer and Nick Saban, according to Klatt. Per On3:
quote:

“I don’t think money is going to be a factor in what they go after. Therefore, there’s two people that are going to get calls, and I think that LSU is going to force them to turn down $15 million a year. And that is Urban Meyer and Nick Saban,” Fox Sports’ Joel Klatt said on his show. “Both of those guys will get that call. And if I’m Scott Woodard, I think that you have to make that call.

“If I’m the AD, I’m making that call to both of those gentlemen. And, by the way, if they both turn me down — great… So those two guys are going to get the first two calls, and then it goes to maybe the more feasible ones. Although, who knows, maybe one of those guys will be the next coach at LSU.”

Anybody who thinks either of those two are coming here is delusional.

If I were Saban and I had to sit next to that Pat McAfee clown every Saturday, I would seriously have to consider unretiring.

Hmmm...

1. Nick loves him some LSU.
2. We have an NIL department, he won't need to mess with it.
3. Ain't 70 the new 50?

It would be great to have Saban on the sideline for the Bama game.

What part of not wanting anything to do with NIL do folks not get. Saban left for that one reason. Period. I've heard Meyer talk openly about not wanting to deal with NIL as well. People act liike these 2 just got tired and needed a break. No, they want no part of college football today. Same happened with Chip Kelly and is about to happen with Sark. Word is he's shopping himself to NFL teams. A lot of these guys are done.

You don’t think he’s figured out a plan on NIL by now? Only Nick can align everybody at LEU and clean out the filth.

Only someone who’s severely mentally challenged or simply eaten up with blind stupidity would not place those calls. You’ll never know for sure unless you do.

Those guys can’t win without an advantage, NIL screwed it up for the old team coach.

It may be less expensive to hire Saban than to get Kiffin or other coaches that have a buyout.

WTH, why not Knute Rockne

I see Saban as AD hiring Kiffin as HC. Make it happen, Jeff! Woody is done.

Saban is 73, won several national championships, and is worth north of $200 million. He isn't coming to LSU. And if he did, he sure as hell wouldn't have the same fire like he had 15 years ago. It isn't happening.
