Maybe he should make the fans show up and run for leaving at halftime.

So an elite college athlete has to keep pace with a bunch of geriatrics? So tough.

No, The coach has to be there to supervise and ensure the player is doing the run. It's a way to hold the position coaches accountable for their guys not doing the right thing

He'll probably get in a golf cart when he tires out but he's making them show accountability and I like it.

What were the penalties imposed on himself for not reviewing the gameplan prior to the Troy loss? How about the Mississippi State blowout where both coaches and players looked like they'd missed a few practice and film sessions?

It's not like the people who check class attendance are overly strict about it anyway. They just show up at the door after class has started and see who they can see. They never enter the classroom to ensure people are there in my experience.

I am not being critical but is getting up at 5:30 on Wednesday and running punishment? I would think you make them do it everyday to punish them.

He is full of crap. There is no discipline in this program.

Way to expound on the topic asshat.

That’s pretty standard punishment for those things at most colleges. I would bet you it’s hard runs- wind sprints or timed 110’s. No easy running.
user avatar
Tigers4Lyfe72 months
He said with him and other coaches. Ed and other coaches aren't running wind sprints and times 110s at 530am. It's been established that players take jogs with Ed in the past.

You know what a leader on this team would do? Get out there and run every Wednesday and never get in any trouble. That guy would have untouchable credentials in the huddle.

I can tell you point blank this is an absolute lie. Players who missed classes or were late this past year faced zero consequences
user avatar

Who cares? This is the sec. Discipline is not nearly as important as winning. Sad but true
user avatar

Discipine off the field leads to discipline on the field with contributes to winning.
user avatar
luciouslou72 months
That's comical. Bama players get arrested every off season. Still winning

Who wants to run at 5:30 and try to understand what the hell O is saying between O’s huffs and puffs.

What are the “tutors” dimensions?

Who tutors Ed after we lose a game?

If he runs with his shirt off I would call that cruel and unusual punishment

Terrible football coach runs with his players. Big deal. Still sucks

I concur. This is the only thing he’s done right. He’s an awful HC. I will always pull for LSU and would never hope for them to lose for any reason. It’s hard though with this clown at the helm. If 0 is successful I will gladly have my humble pie but the odds of him having a successful tenure is very slim. I was ready for Les to get canned as much as anyone else but I never would’ve thought they would’ve replaced him with a career DL coach who was the worst HC in Ole Miss history and has never been any kind of coordinator. No other school wanted to hire much less entertain the thought of considering for a HC position. I think he just doesn’t know what he’s doing. I know he’s trying and wants to be successful but he has 0 direction. Hope I’m proved wrong though.

I find it to be pretty odd how many folks here don't seem to think there should be consequences if a player misses class or tutor sessions. WTF is wrong with you people?
