I don't know bout this. First, u ever divulge punishments that are used. What happens in the locker room stays there. 2nd, running with coaches? So they pay for the mistake as well. No, no. U want the meanest SOB coach that gets about there at 5 and bitches about how YOU are the reason he has to be out here and it better not happen again or it will be even worse next time. Then, how hard are they running? Is it a nice 2 mile jog cause I can't see Orgeron running 40s until u drop to your knees puking. There has to be a I'm the coach, you're the player mind set. The great olympic coach herb Brooks said a great team has one person on the team they hate...the coach. Sounds like he's trying to show everybody he's working hard and tooting his own horn. I doubt Lombardi, paterno, Jimmy Johnson, Chuck noll, etc, ever ran the punishment with their players.

You'll see a better team on the field by making better men off of it!

He's trying to change the culture and attitude of this team. Les miles got to the point where he started to let his players become become undisciplined and their actions inconsequential.

Then our AD followed suit and got undisciplined and inconsequential.

He’s such a good coach. His resume has brought LSU instant credibility. Wait...no it hasn’t. At least he talks like us.

Saban was never going to win playing BG10 football in the SEC, until he did. Then it was questionable recruiting, how is LSU getting back to back #1 classes. Then he left and was an instant genius GOAT. Miles was a bafoon, living off Sabans success, until he wasn’t. We were told for 10 years we were declining and get rid of Miles before he ruins it. Then we get rid of Miles and suddenly he is a great coach with a jovial personality and how dare we even consider getting rid of him. So O would be no different regardless of his past.

I find it to be pretty odd how many folks here don't seem to think there should be consequences if a player misses class or tutor sessions. WTF is wrong with you people?

Terrible football coach runs with his players. Big deal. Still sucks

I concur. This is the only thing he’s done right. He’s an awful HC. I will always pull for LSU and would never hope for them to lose for any reason. It’s hard though with this clown at the helm. If 0 is successful I will gladly have my humble pie but the odds of him having a successful tenure is very slim. I was ready for Les to get canned as much as anyone else but I never would’ve thought they would’ve replaced him with a career DL coach who was the worst HC in Ole Miss history and has never been any kind of coordinator. No other school wanted to hire much less entertain the thought of considering for a HC position. I think he just doesn’t know what he’s doing. I know he’s trying and wants to be successful but he has 0 direction. Hope I’m proved wrong though.

If he runs with his shirt off I would call that cruel and unusual punishment

Who tutors Ed after we lose a game?

No one. It’s all in the secret binder.

What are the “tutors” dimensions?

Who wants to run at 5:30 and try to understand what the hell O is saying between O’s huffs and puffs.

Who cares? This is the sec. Discipline is not nearly as important as winning. Sad but true

Discipine off the field leads to discipline on the field with contributes to winning.

That's comical. Bama players get arrested every off season. Still winning

I can tell you point blank this is an absolute lie. Players who missed classes or were late this past year faced zero consequences

You know what a leader on this team would do? Get out there and run every Wednesday and never get in any trouble. That guy would have untouchable credentials in the huddle.

That’s pretty standard punishment for those things at most colleges. I would bet you it’s hard runs- wind sprints or timed 110’s. No easy running.
Reply67 months
user avatar
He said with him and other coaches. Ed and other coaches aren't running wind sprints and times 110s at 530am. It's been established that players take jogs with Ed in the past.

He is full of crap. There is no discipline in this program.
