Just about everyone in the college coaching ranks has turned down the Tennessee job since Sunday's drama involving Greg Schiano but there are a few candidates that could still be interested.

Some of those coaches include Chad Morris, Kevin Steele, Jeremy Pruitt, Lane Kiffin, Tee Martin, and possibly former LSU head coach Les Miles.

Former WWE Wrestling star Glenn Jacobs aka "Kane," who happens to be a mayoral candidate for Knox County in Tennessee says Miles is the guy for the Vols.

Could it happen?

Reports are that Les is not a candidate for the Tennessee job. I really feel bad for him because I know he wants to coach again, but unfortunately his unwillingness to change his offensive philosophy at LSU is his undoing. The longer this goes on it’s becoming obvious that Les will never coach again. It also shows that his dismissal from LSU was justified. A sad ending for a great guy.

I believe someone tombstoned Les Miles on concrete.

Ain't gonna happen...Tennessee fans are not that stupid! Les was not in high demand after LSU fired him so what do you think has changed? Not a very good coach but he did surround himself with some good assistants at his stints. If he was such a good coach how come he threw the towel in at half time for the national championship? By letting JJ start the second half and not giving Lee even a chance to get on the field speaks volumes of this PRETENDER. But then again, Tennessee is our competition- so go, Les, go!

He's still in WWE, he's not full time and he does take time off but he's currently back.

Dude, that's not the real Kane. Kane was disfigured by his brother and has to wear a mask and speak with a vocoder.

Hell I wouldn’t know anything about that fake shite.

Anybody else not surprised that a WWE wrestler is running for Mayor in East TN? Seems like a natural fit.

Kane, this was my idea wussy....... even before Butch got fired, I brought it up last year that Les should be the coach.....

It would have meant more if Lana endorsed Les.

Not really welfare since his contract had a buyout clause.

All this coaching search is missing now is a big-top, a dancing bear, some midgets on unicycles, a bearded lady, a dog playing Rocky Top on a kazoo, and Currie being linked to the Grassy Knoll.

Well I guess Les is headed to Knoxville then. How could anyone argue with Kane on these matters?

Kane should choke slam his way up the UT Athletic Administration ladder until Currie's hand is forced

That would be disgusting to see Miles end up in that nasty orange and white.

Goes from being in the main event of RAW to being a "former" wrestler in under three days. Life changes fast, I guess.

G, think RT will give us bonus points if we predict when Kane comes out of retirement? I'm calling this coming Monday.

I have to say, I think Les would be a perfect fit to rebuild the structure of that program. One thing about Miles is his honesty and integrity, and he is extremely loyal. I can’t believe Kiffin is throwing his name in the hat after leaving the Vols after one season as HC. They would tar and feather him if he was rehired. Miles is the hands down clear choice, imo.

Kiffin has explicitly said that he is not coaching at UT again.
