Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
Former Alabama and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie tight end O.J. Howard spoke to the media Thursday and was asked the difference between college and pro now that he's in the NFL.
quote:

The difference between college and pro for Bucs rookie tight end OJ Howard? "It's like an LSU matchup every day. Like an SEC matchup every game."

No shame in losing to Bama. They've just been better the last few times we've played them. But the quote from Howard let's me know that LSU is highly respected and never taken lightly by the Alabama team and coaches.

Only a few more moral victories to secure and maybe then we can lure Butch away from UT

Bama fans refuse to recognize LSU as a rival, but this speaks volumes as to the respect the Bama players have for LSU. Hopefully, we can put some more W's up there with a more creative offensive coordinator, and good quarterback play. Geaux Tigers!

He speaks the truth. The Tigers are the best team in the SEC besides Bama and the gap isn't that wide. Everyone focuses on the 6 game losing streak by Miles teams. But seriously, other than Ole Miss, who else has long losing streaks to Bama? Everyone! And we have to play them every year! So, thanks for the recognition OJ, and I can't wait for this years game! Tiger Bait!

But we end up losing a lot of games to teams other than Alabama. That's a big part of the problem.

Alabama is definitely the better team but I laugh when fans don't tip their hat towards us. LSU is probably the team that has the best chance to consistently beat them

Thanks OJ Howard's, great comments. Yes LSU needs a strong Oline to beat Bama.... sportsguychat.com

LSU needs a creative offense and better passing game more. LSU has a decent OL just about every year. There is a reason why Ole Miss (x2), Auburn, Ohio St, Clemson, TAMU and Oklahoma have beaten Bama over the last several years, and it ain't OL.

people love to come up with a million reasons why Bama has beaten us. the TRUTH is there is only one reason. Quarterback Play! Period

And it's no coincidence that the QBs don't play well when the Alabama Dline dominates the LSU Oline.

This speaks loudly to execution over the past few years. Alabama and LSU are pretty evenly matched, and trained, but Bama has out-executed the Tigers in recent years and there is now a very apparent disparity between the two programs. It is better for college football when that gap is closed, which I hope it can be.
