personally, i think aleva told ogeron to get his butt out of meddling in the game plan and let his coordinators do the job they were hired for and let them run the game. i think ogeron got a big head and he started meddling in everything where he didnt belong, just like he did at mississippi.

OMG, that is such a stupid thing to say, weather its true or not, and if its true then you have to ask, did they decide to NOT win those other games? if they didn't want to win the other games it certainly explains the way that they came out and played in those games.

It's called creating a positive environment which creates a positive attitude which creates positive results. Its why Saban is successful. The fans do a good enough job of creating the opposite.

Some of y'all are real POS's. To the morons saying Florida isn't very good, well neither is LSU but we won the game at their house while ranked, and it was an early game. The played tough at the very least and I think now they see what playing with some pride can do. Then the entire Offense didn't even play with pride, most of them did. Our lines finally did, our QB turned it up, our RBs turned it up and some of our WRs did as well. Our big WRs are terrible. They jog around the field, and walk through the motions. I see why Danny can't throw a ball to his second WR, it's because they don't try unless the play is designed their way. That is total bull, and it has to change. How these coaches and players don't see that on tape and demand better play is beyond me??? I don't get it and never will understand a football team that can't get all 22 players playing at a high level on every play. At least do it 90% of the time. That would be an improvement but frick that, it should be every time they step on the field. They need to know how lucky they are to be wearing an LSU jersey. It could be a freakn La tech jersey or Tulane, or TCU. That has got to change. These leaders on this team need to demand it. As well as our coaches. It's embarrassing to watch that.

I remember when the honesty at press conferences was refreshing. Now it's scary.

Can we make a decision to win every game from here out CEO? I don't hate you but that response is just silly. Say something like UF deserves an arse-beating for what Shark Humper said when he escaped with a win last year. That is more believable. But anyway, GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Never been in a locker room as a player evidently. Don't think they took a vote on whether to win or not. Its a mind set and a desire to work hard and do whatever it takes to win. Cut the mistakes. Don't quit when things go against you. Make something happen. Some people understand "coach speak". Others just criticize!

I've been saying to attack like we did for weeks now. So have many people on here. Idk why it took so long but I'm happy Canada decided to start attacking the aggressiveness of the front seven in SEC play. We could have torn State a new butt hole if we had attacked them this way. These defense's aren't dumb, they will crash the middle, attack the RB, and keep safeties up to take away the short over the middle stuff, knowing we won't have time to take our routes much further, and take the chance on 1 vs 1 coverage with out young WRs and Etlings arm plus the time he has. So figure out a way to attack the faults more. More screens, more misdirection, more short double move routes, more short post patterns, better fakes to the backs, then give it to the WR or TE. More TE hot routes. And then when they have to start adjusting to it be ready to attack the middle of the field, start faking the flat routes and go to our big WR over the middle. There's many things we can still attack. I still haven't seen a WR screen. And if it's because our other WRs can't block well then it needs to be ran over and over and over until they get it. Our WRs are freakn lazy. They jog in their routes, and they don't lay out people on their blocks. That has to be fixed. Our OL finally responded and now it's time to fix these damn WRs. Frick that!!! No excuse for them playing that way. Time for Chark to get on that arse, or Canada or Joseph, someone or all of y'all do yalls jobs! GT

All those great ideas for plays that you mentioned require one thing: a Qb who can go through progressions and make accurate throws. I like DE and respect his toughness but he is not SEC QB quality. Not even Pittsburg 2016 quality. He limits IMO what Canada can call. All those things should be a regular part of the arsenal but you have to be able to stand in and deliver to the WR's numbers on the short and Intermediate routes and lead the deep patterns enough so the DBs can't catch up to the receivers when they have two step leads. He just can't do those things.

I wonder if they’re going to decide to win this Monday?
user avatar
tigersquad8983 months
This was exactly my thought. The bigger question did they decide the previous Monday they were going to lose?

These comments show how sad LSU fans are. A great win, in the Swamp, during a difficult stretch and many can't even enjoy it. Too busy worried bout what has already transpired.
user avatar

That’s how they enjoy it. Complaining and being miserable is all they know.

It's not a great win, and you are too blind to see it. You guys have been blind to this team after every single game we've played this year. This game reminded me of the cripple fight we had with TAMU when Miles should have been let go.
user avatar

So the coaching staff counted on a missed PAT on Monday itself for winning the game? If the game goes to OT, there is a good chance LSU would have lost, with the field goal kickers they have.

Well I wish they would let us know ahead of time what decision they make. If they would have told me they made the decision to lose to Troy I wouldn’t have watched.

Moo st. Troy. Blah blah blah. We played damn good yesterday! A few things that could be better. Etling had some mistakes but he made some good runs when he had nothing. Hope they keep making strides!
user avatar

So you decided not to win against MSU & Troy. Say what yall want about Les Miles, but one thing you can't take away from him is that in every game he had his players ready to play. He would have never made a comment like this after a win..
