LSU coach Ed Orgeron was on WWL radio Tuesday and provided a great update on quarterback Myles Brennan.

Brennan sat out the last six games of the 2020 season with a lower-body/hip injury but looked "full speed" and healthy in recent workouts, according to Orgeron.
quote:

“Yeah, he looks full go right now,” Orgeron said. “We're only going through walkthrough right now, but he's in the weight room. He’s doing everything that the team does. He's throwing with the team after when the coaches are not on the field. He looks like he's full speed right now.”
Brennan passed for 1,112 yards and 11 touchdowns with three interceptions in the Tigers' first three games on the season.

He was on pace for 4,000+ yards and 40+ TDs if last season had been 12 games. And I believe he would have gotten better as the season went on if he hadn't gotten hurt

Who, Brennan? You not only think he’ll make an NFL roster, but that he’ll leave early for it? Good god, people.

Just what the hell is going on here, most secretive, weird football injury in history. Just WTF ACTUALLY HAPPENED

Problem is I don’t know if this is like the positive comments about the OL preseason last year.

I'm ready for a good ole QB competition we have 3 talented guys on the roster let them go at it. I don't want them to just hand it to anyone.

The Brennon believers make a good point, however Jones seems like he has more potential & speed to step up and run to be a threat more so than Brennon does.

Barnaby Jones plays Quarterback? or is it, Tommy Lee Jones, James Earl Jones, Catherine Zeta-Jones or is it, Frances Môn Jones?

Great news but my concern is how long can he remain a full go. I'm good we have some upcoming new QBs who should be able to take over should he get hurt again.

Full speed, so what’s that, about a 5.60 40?...I kid, I kid. I’m happy he’s back to being in good health.

I’ve been rooting for him since we recruited him, but I just don’t see how he can be considered a starter with the way Max Johnson looks last year.

Easy. You let them compete. Winner is the starter.

I kind of agree, people say let them compete but some people are just better during the game. Remember how great Jordan Jefferson, Brandon Harris and plenty of others were during practice but they couldn't put their product on the field? Remember Burrow was beat out by Haskins but was a phenom in game situations and the greatest college quarter back in history....I think Max has that gene in him, I think he's a baller and a winner. He surprised the hell out of me last year. I'm still a big Brennan fan but it's good to have options....finally!

Everyone saying bububut he threw for 1100 yards needs to take into consideration that he’s not a threat to run and he has trouble converting 3rd downs. I’m rooting for Myles, always have and always will, but we also have to look at that too.

don't criticize Brennan, even if it's glaringly obvious. You'll get downvoted to death.

He was like a deer in the head lights last year , he spent 4 years at LSU and people was saying give him time , well we need a QB that can use his feet or the defense won’t respect our QB and they will rush our QB full speed

He was deer in headlights his first game and still lit them up. Past the first game he showed massive progression. He had first game starter jitters give him a break. He was on a record pace before he got hurt. The team around him also was much worse than the team at the end of the year. You're ignorant.
