LSU's Ed Orgeron was named SEC Coach of the Year by the Associated Press on Monday.

Orgeron has led the Tigers to perfect 13-0 record with a victory in the SEC Championship this past weekend and the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoffs.

His success on the field this season will also put a lot more money in his pockets...

If Orgeron is able to win the National Championship this season his postseason incentives will total $1.2 million, according to Brooks Kubena with The Advocate.

Nick Sabin has his staff picked over every season. It has taken a toll. Alabama is stocked with player potential and did not capitalize! I would expect Sabin to be recruiting staff this year more than players. Can LSU keep this staff together? Coach O, will certainly be rewarded, but not to top tier coaches! LSU will continue paying top salary for assistant coaches. Hopefully talented coaches looking for home instead of journeymen lives of the typical NCAA coach lifestyle.

There were lots people that doubted these tiger players and staff. Look at Brady before this year, no one knew what he could do but coach Oeaux had a good idea of it, look at coach Oeaux as the head man before being hired on to Lau as the head man of the football team, not alot of people were on his side but coach Oeaux had the vision for what he wanted, look at Clyde was not all highly rated and some say too short, Clyde was out to prove everyone wrong, look at Justin Jefferson a 3 star, he didn't know if he would get to LSU because of his grades but he wanted to be at LSU badly, and Joe burrow his dream school growing up Nebraska would not give him an offer, wouldn't look at burrow and 2nd time around, Scott frost says snubbed him, was never given a shot at Ohio State. Look at Thad Moss a transfer who had not done nearly this well in college as well, and Damien Lewis the senior guard who never was looked at by any college until after his Junior college LSU gave him a shot and saw his potential. Look at the whole LSU defense out to prove people wrong. They all want to prove people wrong. When coach Oeaux hears people say something negative, coach Oeaux wants it more than ever.
