Ed Orgeron addressed the media on Monday and confirmed that LSU quarterback Myles Brennan is entering the transfer portal.

Orgeron said he knew Brennan was not going to be healthy enought to return this season and wanted to get a chance to play one more year somewhere else.

I think he ran out of classes to take at LSU. Being an 8th year junior and all......

"He just met with me, he was teary-eyed." Trying out for Herbstreet's job?

Both he, and Ed, were unprepared for this season.

I remember before last season a ton of people here guaranteed he was the next Joe Burrow.

Does he get to keep the truck?

He is a nice guy true to LSU. He just didn't have the body to play in the SEC. He just couldn't take a hit. His body just doesn't have the muscles that he should.

He’s a true tiger, who could blame him.

Anyone that says anything bad about this kid is just trying to negative because this kid dod everything the right way and it just didn’t end up falling his way. I hope he finds a good school and lights it up next year. Somewhere like SMU, TCU or Houston would be good choices. Maybe even Tulane.

So why doesn't he stay and light it up next year? Soft!

While I agree with all that I'm not sure why he transfers. Anyone that can see and has been watching can see that Brennan is head and shoulders above Max Johnson. If he is transferring because O is leaving...well good riddance he was part of the problem. If that is not the case then this is a strange development because he would start here next year.

Kid was on track to put up Burrow numbers before he was injured.

Always hurt, always trying to gain weight, always the backup.

Most times I have a hard time rooting for kids when they leave for another school, but Myles has done everything the right way. He’s hung tough and loyal through some incredible ups and downs and I would love to see him start next year. But he’s had enough and if we aren’t gonna give him the keys to the team next year, he’s too daggum great of a QB to sit and watch his opportunity fade away. I will be cheering loudly for this young man. He’s earned my respect and fan loyalty many times over! Go somewhere and kill it, Myles!!!!!

Orgeron trying to run everybody off on his way out the door. Anybody who believes this man will look out for LSU’s best interest at this point has not paid attention to his history.

Good luck, young man. You did everything you could but it never materialized. 0 fault of yours.

Man, he's had a tough time with injuries keeping him out of the games. After his rough first two games last year he was beginning to show his true potential. Absent injuries he could have been great here. Good luck to him and hope he gets a shot somewhere as soon as he is healthy enough to play.

Myles stayed as long as he could. Lesser kids would have left the first day they saw Burrow throw a football. Thanks for your dedication to LSU and good luck!

One of the best QB's we've had that we just didn't get to see much of. I think our record with him as starter would look a lot better, but of course defense is mostly swiss cheese so maybe not. Good Luck Myles, you'll always be a Tiger.

So is Ed really going to talk anyone out of the portal? with him knowing he isn't returning.

He should have done this sooner. Hopefully he kills it wherever he goes unless he's playing against LSU.

I disagree- I respected the hell out of him sucking it up waiting his turn for 2yrs after having the starring job snatched from him by Burrow.... ...and he stuck it out ANOTHER year rehabbing from a season-ending injury. Then a flip-flop took his starting role from him for the THIRD time- really rotten luck, but I admire the determination and loyalty.
