LSU head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media on Monday during his weekly press conference and was asked about some of the issues in the offensive play calling.

Orgeron said that the offense is Matt Canada's but that he did step in last week to minimize the pre-snap shifts and motions.

Well, if you don't make blocks, it doesn't matter if you use a ton of motion and shifts or not. Only when you can block the defenders can you be successful. It's more of a weak blocking issue than anything. Basic FB Offense 101.

So much for "letting our coaches coach."

Can't say I have a problem with this...I saw no positive result from all the shifts, etc.

Ed O will prevail I believe.

Great. Our defensive line coach who has never been a coordinator in his life and never been on the offense of side of the ball in his life is tweaking the offense. What could go wrong

I agree with the WR going back and forth. It is a little comical but the OL shifts could be the problem with the blocking issues. I will say the Shifts of the OL do not bother me but I am not a coach.

Yeah. The receiver going back and forth is not fooling anyone. I don't know what he hopes to accomplish with that.

It's clear as day that if the ball is snapped before the WR gets to the QB that he's getting the ball and if he passes the QB he's not getting the ball. That's all teams had to key on to put it to bed. I'd rather use the regular old end around with the WR stationary prior to snap nowhere near the Tackle.

The receiver motion is supposed to force the defense to show their hand. Not that the information is of any use in Coach Orangutan's hands.

So it’s completely Matt’s offense but he did stepped in, but it will be Canada’s decisions to make but he O will intervene when he wants to. Kinda conflicting statements aren’t they?

Dear Ed Orgeron, We like you - we really do. It was fun to laugh at you during the interim tag knowing you could NEVER get the head job. However, we were wrong. We underestimated you. Do us a favor and please leave. Save your family the embarrassment of being run out of La. Your shrimpin business in the future depends on it!!

Well, if Cookie knows he stepped in, then he needs to step OUT this week.

In or out, I'm not impressed with Canada. I think this may be the reason he moves around every year or two.
