Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron spoke at the New Orleans Quarterback Club on Tuesday as was asked about the Tigers upcoming game against Alabama on Nov. 5th.

One of the questions that Orgeron was asked was if LSU had enough depth to hang with Alabama?

His answer was straightforward: "Hell yeah."

We've always had the depth, and now we combine that with a coaching staff that can utilize our talent with good schemes and in game adjustments. It's a beautiful thing

Key will be how well our Oline handles Bama's Dline. Handled well, Fournette & co. will have some running room, and Etling will have time to throw at least short, quick passes. Handled poorly, their Dline will be in our backfield causing turnovers....simple as that.

No turnovers please. Alabama turns games around with opponents' turnovers, usually leading to a score. Control the ball and keep the Bama offense on the sidelines as much as possible.

our o-line HAS to man up, last year they had their arse handed to them. We need to stop their run and make that gump qb pass, and we can hand them their arse this year finally. Geaux Tigers

Thumbs up. I think we will be able to stop the RB run but Hurts scramble runs are the key.

That's a dumb question. We always had the talent to run with Bama. We just didn't have the coaches (HC, OC, and DC) to utilize the talent correctly. I think we do now and it will show Nov. 5th.

Coach O knows how this game will have a factor in determining if he's hired at the end of the season... He'll be ready for this game

Can't run up the middle and only throw one pass per quarter. Must distribute to TE, RB and WR down the field to open the run game. Even an idiot like me knows this.

"Can't run up the middle and only throw one pass per quarter. " Have you watched LSU play a game under Coach O?

Too bad Miles didn't follow that philosophy. Last year is was all runs, Bama goes up 10-0. Started passing the ball, LSU ties the game 10-10. Then Miles goes right back to what wasn't working and we lose the game. It's not rocket science. But apparently it must be to Miles because he never understood that it takes balance to beat Bama. Make them respect the passing game and holes will begin to open for LF7. Last year they where putting 9 in the box and dared us to pass it. CEO won't make the same mistakes.
