LSU's Brian Kelly held a press conference on Tuesday morning to talk about the ReliaQuest Bowl vs. Wisconsin and was asked which players would play in that game, with the focus on Jayden Daniels' decision.

Kelly said that Daniels has not decided yet, and while he would love to see him play one last time, he sees both sides of it.

Kelly added that the staff did player exit interviews last week, and they have a good sense of who will be available for the bowl game but did not reveal names.

He’s not going to play. Can you imagine the lunacy of playing in this game? Life changing guaranteed money vs a scrub life in the blink of an eye? No way.

As much as I would love to see JD5 play, I know I would literally be sick to my stomach if he suffered a serious injury in this almost meaningless bowl game. I certainly will respect his decision, and keep the Alka-Seltzer ready if he decides to play.

Datbayoubengal mentioned this yesterday and I got to thinking about it last night. What if JD played and just got Nabers his record and maybe a TD or 2. Maybe get Thomas and Lacy a TD also. Then after each gets THEIR play, they walk off to standing O's? You know how cool that would be?

They'd each get a proper farewell where they can soak in the adoration of their fans one last time before exiting for the real world. That my friend could start a trend where other players see how awesome that would be and want some of that for themselves...a proper so long. They don't have to play long...just a lil bit and then the good-bye. Does anyone over there read this site?

Beat Wisky! Can't deny it, I'd love to see Jayden play one more game.

But it's his decision to make.

General Observation: It's so nice to have CBK to be able to answer these types of questions like an adult. Perish the thought of how Baw Baw or Les would have responded.

Nuss can get a 24 yard pass to Malik. As much as I would love to see Jayden, I don't see the sense in it.

Star players have always been the final decision of if they will play.

I want to see him play but the three first rounders should probably opt out

Malik has a record to set. It's a meaningful record.

Zero upside in playing. Congratulations JD on your Heisman. Bring on the Nuss Bus!

Exactly. What does he gain from playing in this game? I’m sure his teammates can respect and understand the risk versus the reward these days.

You watch things like what happened to Jordan Travis, and it's just hard to see any upside whatsoever to him playing.

You’re right. He shouldn’t drive like Chad Jones did either. He should lock himself in a bubble and hope he stays safe. The amount of pussies that have overtaken this country and the sports is mind boggling.

"You’re right. He shouldn’t drive like Chad Jones did either. He should lock himself in a bubble and hope he stays safe. If it were me, I wouldn't play, and I sure as hell would be careful as hell. Don't go skiing, don't go skydiving, etc. Only a moron would risk a massive signing bonus for a meaningless game - and yes, this bowl game is meaningless.

Please, just one more half. 300 yards, 5 TDs, and officially pass the torch to Nuss.

That would be the ULTIMATE walk-off. Good idea!
