College Football analyst Brett McMurphy of WatchStadium.com released his Bowl Predictions for the 2019 season and has LSU playing in the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1 vs. Syracuse.
quote:

Orange Bowl – Jan. 1 (ACC vs. SEC/Big Ten/Notre Dame)
Projection: Syracuse vs. LSU

Since Clemson will be in the playoff after winning a fifth consecutive ACC title, the next highest-ranked team will head to the Orange Bowl. And I can’t think of a more fitting pairing than the Orange in the Orange. Syracuse will build off last year’s 10-win season under coach Dino Babers with its first Orange Bowl appearance since 1998, when it was in the Big East.

Syracuse’s opponent will be LSU, as the highest-ranked team from the SEC, Big Ten or Notre Dame after the playoff and Rose and Sugar bowls are filled. The Tigers are no strangers to bowl games, having gone to a bowl the past 19 consecutive years, the second-longest current streak in the SEC. If they end up in Miami, it would be their first trip to the Orange Bowl since 1982.

Syracuse is losing their stud QB to graduation. I'm not seeing the love for them.

wouldn't it make a lot more geographical sense to put UCF in the orange and LSU in the cotton?

there are a lot of AGREEMENTS in place by the conferences where "location" is not a deciding factor. and in ref to UCF ... Florida I think influenced the decision....they did not want a piece of UCF.

Meh...this is the kind of shite that you talk about during the dog days of summer. There is far too much great stuff going on in LSU atheletics right now to be talking about such foolishness.

The orange bowl is a good bowl and I'd be happy with it but I think LSU goes higher than that this season.

No surprise here. We have the talent to finish 11-1 or 12-0 and make the playoffs... We just don't have the Offensive coaching staff to guide us to 11-1 or 12-0.

The only way LSU doesn't make the playoffs is if 11 & 1 isn't good enough to make the playoffs.

that sounds like a boring matchup

This is ridiculous. LSU recently played these guys in a home and home going 2-0. This game isn't sexy as an LSU fan.

yea, but we got outplayed by them at home.

All of us on here are more qualified than this guy to make predictions.

The "experts" like this tard had LSU ranked at 25 or not ranked at all last year because of the "tough schedule." This year, we have more talent or experience at nearly every position and have a much easier schedule, but nether will factor into their magic formulas.
