College Football experts from Bleacher Report predicted 2017 records for every team that was ranked in the final AP Poll, which includes LSU who finished at No. 13.

As for the how the Tigers will fare in 2017, BR.com has LSU finishing 10-2 (6-2 SEC).
quote:

Final AP Poll Ranking: 13

A strong running game and tenacious defense can only carry a team so far. LSU is capable of beating every team on the schedule, but anything more requires a major improvement at quarterback.

The Tigers signed a pair of promising signal-callers, yet setting immediate and massive expectations for a true freshman is unwise. Barring injury, Danny Etling will likely remain under center. But being decent overall—and terrible against the best—doesn't win championships.

An unimposing nonconference schedule will generate hype around LSU before a rocky SEC road curbs the praise.

Projected Record: 10-2 (6-2 SEC)
What's your record prediction for the Tigers in 2017?

Sounds like sound logic and reasoning. There are some variables in play that none of can no. Do we make the jump in QB play? What about the O-Line? And how the OC (and his new plan) affect offensive production this season? These guys are limited by what they've seen. Hard from them to think outside of what's yet to be proven. As an aside, I believe that Bama's incoming frosh QB, Tua Tuagoliva, may be the new true fresh take the job. Possible a more polished passer (with DT abilities).

I would be happy with 10-2. That said, we have the best offensive mind we have ever had at LSU as our OC. This is a guy who put up 49? on the National Champions last year with Pittsburgh's players. On the road. Also, I think Bama got a bit exposed in the NC game and in our game, as it is pretty obvious that until they can teach that young QB to throw a pass they will be one dimensional. This year may be the year that we are the ones putting up points in the bama game and they are the ones who can only run and play D. Look for us to have a huge 4th quarter on the road at Tuscaloosa.

How could anybody predict 10-2? Auburn will be better and Bama is Bama. We go on the road vs Florida and Ole Miss surrounding that Auburn game, and we also go on the road to Tennessee after playing @ Bama and Arkansas. LSU hasn't lost less than 3 regular season games since 2012 and QB play is still mediocre at best until further notice. Fans can get their hopes up again, but I'm not falling for the offseason 'hope springs eternal' BS. I'll believe LSU is better than just Guice and Aranda when I see it.

Look pussy cat, Les Miles isn't here anymore these guys will actually be challenged in the offseason not just going through the motions. You can jump on the bandwagon once we start winning but this team is going to be much much better next year with a totally different attitude. Championship football is coming back to BR. Bunch of bandwagon fans we have. I'll doubt LSU is any good until I see it then I'll really root for them, k sure bud we know.

LOL, don't act like a moron. I cheer for LSU just like you, but I won't believe we step back into the top group of the CFB until it actually happens. I won't believe we'll have good QB play until it actually happens. Sunshine pumping is not the only way to be a fan. How long did Saints fans wear bags over their heads before Payton and Brees came to town? Would you call them bandwagon even though they went to every game knowing they sucked arse as a team?

Etling put up some good numbers last year and will put up some really good numbers in 2017. QB will not be a problem.

"Bleacher Report" <-- 'nuff said. Who gives a shite what they think anyway? I don't waste my time reading anything they "blog." It's not like they get any valuable info other than their own opinions.. I wouldn't even give them the luxury of clicking a Bleacher Report link.. Not worth my time or anyone else's. If you want to read an opinion, at least find a REAL journalist with some credibility. Perhaps with some sources or some special access to something which would give their opinion more validity. Bleacher Report is a joke.

The Bleacher Report doesn't have the first clue about Lindsey Scott. He was only a short 3 star so no one paid attention to him. However, he is going to give Etling all he wants next season and if Etling is able to keep his job next season he will have to become quite a bit better than he was last year. Otherwise Scott will take his job from him. So either way we will end up with a better QB next season along with a brand new shiny offense. Moreover, we didn't lose to Alabama because of only piss poor QB play, but mostly because of Les Miles piss poor antiquated offense. However, those days are now over.

No way LSU 38 BYU 10 LSU 56 Chatt 0 LSU 31 Miss St 13 LSU 45 Syracuse 6 LSU 48 Troy 13 LSU 21 FL 10 LSU 28 Auburn 14 LSU 38 Miss 14 LSU 21 Red team 24 LSU 31 Ark 20 LSU 42 Tenn 17 LSU 27 TA&M 14 This LSU team may lose one more to either Aub or FL. We lose players every year but we don't fill holes like we did this year every year. That and O has placed a premium on 1vs1 competition in the spring, he also knows LSU wins and loses in the offseason. You get these boys ready for the big boys in the 4th quarter now with physical training making them go 10 more reps when they think they can't go anymore. GT

This is just offseason reading material. 10-2 is a reasonable prediction... And its only a prediction. If we go 10-2 then we meet expectations, if we do better then we will be in the college football playoff conversation.

I'll expect at least 3 or 4 loses a year until we get over the constant poor play from the QB position.

Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Ole Miss, all are possible losses. On the other hand LSU could go undefeated unless Thomas Ritter and The Birmingham Collective call it.

Bleacher Report skips from Etling to freshmen? Really? Not good coverage, and you miss fired on LSU! Undefeated! Geaux Tigers!

This again? Look I understand optimism but we really need to stop, how many years in a row did people like you say we were going undefeated? I'm not going to fall for it yet.

LSU will go undefeated. The new offensive scheme will only slow down against Bama. Keep in mind we only loss 10-0 against Bama with Sam's offensive scheme. Lane Kiffen is no longer there to keep Bama's offense humming. We all saw how lousy the offense runs without Kiffen. Bama is the only team that stands in the way of a title. Now that they have loss Kiffen and Sark, they are vulnerable while LSU is stout. NC here we come!

I'm sorry, Cam's offense (stupid autocorrect).

NFLU - Have you seen LSU's scheme? I'm pretty sure with a new coaching staff that no one has. Why don't you take your negativity somewhere dbag.

Actually one of the most accurate guesses of any of the polls I've seen. And agree on Etling over a true freshman. With Canada's multiple shift offense and fast pace it would be a lot to learn. Add that to a freshman trying to learn about college life and everything that goes with it, and it can be overwhelming. If Canada does what he's being paid to do, we'll be fine with Etling at qb. And with our talent, we could win every game. Of course, we could have some misfortune and lose a couple. I don't see any more than 2 losses though. Playoffs or bust Tiger Fans!
