Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports
ESPN's Pete Thamel is reporting that former Arizona State quarterback Jayden Daniels has committed to LSU.

The former four-star quarterback from San Bernardino, Calif. passed for 6,025 yards and 32 touchdowns the past three seasons at Arizona State. He added 1,288 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground.

He will join a loaded quarterback room with Myles Brennan, Garrett Nussmeier, and Walker Howard and has two years of eligibility remaining.

After losing 10 players to the transfer portal, LSU has signed 14 new transfers and has three spots left for the 2022 class.

That guy sucks. No idea why someone would even want him.

This makes sense, he is the opposite of Myles. He is quick and can run. He has 3 years of success.

Good get. Makes sense. With MB being accident prone this is a safety net. An experienced QB. I get it. A duel threat also. Competition is a good thing in the QB room. Lets see how this plays out. Pulling for MB. GEAUX TIGERS!!

I’m happy for LSU but kinda feel MB got the shaft. Still the perfect replacement for BJ

Myles Brennan didn't get the shaft. He had his chance to leave and decided to return. He could be the starter at Southeastern this season.

I think Walker should redshirt this year and learn the offense. That way it will be a battle for QB1 between Brennan and Daniels. Nuss is the elephant in the QB room.

Howard and his Dad have stated they have no problem with Walker taking a Redshirt in 2022.

Fuller room. Someone leaving after spring for sure. I imagine if Myles ain’t the starter he’s gone and I imagine if Jayden ain’t the starter he’s gone too. We shall see.

I think the odd msn out is Nussmeir. Not burning a RS year last year kinda tells you where he’s at.

Iron sharpens iron. If I’m Myles, Nuss & Howard i would welcome the competition

Interesting move for him but selfishly great for LSU. Gives Myles some competition and Nuss another year for his dad to opt him out. Walker will get to learn from a couple experienced QBs.

He seems to have regressed since his freshman year. I hope he can add a good 20 pounds. But the biggest thing, I hope no one leaves because he came on board.

Don’t know if he will even start but need depth so we don’t have a repeat of last years disaster

Sometimes a player just needs a change of coaches and school. I'll reserve judgement afterwards.

What if your former coworkers thought you were garbage, should it stop you from getting another job? life goes on. Sometimes change is needed.

You do realize the ASU player running his mouth is none other than Travez Moore who transferred from LSU to Arizona State? Oh the irony.

Yes. Competition. I love this new staff. Run all the old coaches out, and make the remaining players compete.
