Four-star linebacker Zach Edwards from Starkville, MS announced Saturday night that he has committed to LSU.

Edwards is LSU's second commitment on the day as four-star defensive lineman Jaren Handy gave his verbal pledge to the coaching staff earlier on Saturday.

Edwards, a 6-3, 217-pound prospect from Starkville HS is rated the No. 10 outside linebacker in the country and the No. 10 overall player from the state of Mississippi for the class of 2019, according to Rivals.

LSU now has eight verbal commitments for the class of 2019 with the addition of Edwards.

110% committed in March 2018 = 0% committed in Feb 2019. How have we not learned this yet?

I’m guessing Mississippi State hasn’t offered him any money yet

Cool now he needs to lock down some running backs, quarterbacks, offensive lineman, corner backs and an outstanding kicker. I see he has been loading up on defense lately. That defense of 2017 was bad.
