I know this stings but will not effect the upcoming season. If Tge new QB can have moderate early success, we’ll keep some of our better in state recruits and hopefully upgrade our regional prospects. The new QB gives us a different kind of expectation

I played football with his dad at destrehan. He went to Tennessee didn't consider LSU. So I'm sure his dad had a big hand in him going elsewhere

Many Louisianans can't stand LSU. They're miserable people too.

Yeah it's been noted that his dad did not want him at LSU. Regardless of what people think, this does have an effect in most recruits' minds.

This kid just seems like he hates LSU and his home state. All signs were pointing to Moo St. before he committed to Georgia. Doesn't even seem like he ever really wanted to be here.

Enjoy the bench. Pretty crowded backfield with multiple five star backs ahead of you in line. Good money says he’ll be sporting purple and gold come next season.

Don't want someone who doesn't want to be here. Payton, Eli, Ed Reed and Marshal Faulk say hi.

I saw this guy last year, and to be honest he ain't worth crying over. We will be fine

But if he had committed to LSU I bet you would be singing a different song.

Hmmm I’m from Hahnville and don’t remember that being very true. Pretty damn good school and athletics program across the board.

Your a moron Destrehan has facilities that rival small colleges. Ed Reed built a state of art weight room and field house there. Nice stadium with field turf. Go tour the campus before you comment on what you don't know

AustinKnight, who are you??? I went to Hahnville, graduated in '95 and from LSU in '99. My brother graduated from Hahnville in '98 and from LSU in '01. I live in Kyle, just south of Austin.

We have two options: Flip Emery or land Cain. Either one works, but for now Cain may be the more realistic solution.

I am not a recruiting expert, and I'd say we need Kardell Thomas more. There are some other RB's who will be more than serviceable, though this is a big loss.

Massive loss. Can not express this more... this dude is a dawg

What the hell......this is like missing a Fournette #2.... pitiful
Reply64 months
user avatar
No its not like missing a Fournette. It could be, but doubtful. More than likely it'll be like missing a Darrel Scott, but it could be like missing a Joe McKnight. Very unlikely to be like missing a LF7

Wish the kid luck, but would rather see him at LSU. On to the next RB recruit.

How do we lose a recruit from Destrehan??

LSU seems to lose a lot of recruits from Destrehan.

I'm speechless. A huge position of need for us and the campus is about 40 miles from his high school, but instead he goes to school fairly far from home who has a large amount of RBs already there. It's unbelievable

get used to it. Georgia turning into Alabama of the East. DM and Florida might give them some push but not the way Georgia is recruiting.

Actually he has a giant chest. Have you seen UGA's backfield? I just hope we can still pull him back here.

I'm just happy we made his top 3. Hopefully, we edged out moo state for 2nd place.
