A’montae Spivey, a three-star running back from Phenix City, AL, announced his top schools on Wednesday and included LSU in the group.

Spivey, a 6-0, 185-pound prospect from Central High School, received his offer from coaching staff after camping at LSU last month.

His top schools are Arkansas, Missouri, Purdue, ULL, and LSU.

Damn! Some of y'all would rather see LSU fall than see O succeed. Y'all do realize he recruited the top WR class in the country this year and has 3, 4star LBs along with the number 1 recruit in the country (5* Stingley) coming in next year right? Give O a opportunity to succeed. Les Miles isn't coming back! Accept it!

I don't know why everybody on this site is in an uproar? LSU is really only interested in 2 other RB's in this class besides T. Davis who's already committed and that's John Emory and Noah Cain. Now a lot of people are predicting that Emory is a Miss. St. lean but there's a few RB's higher on the Tigers board than this kid one being RB Mike Hollis from University Lab and they would take Emory spot if he choose State.

If the negative commenters can look at this kids highlights and not say he's a take. I don't know what to tell you. He'll get a 4th star.

These negative people lack the ability to watch a players video and discern between a player that can play in the SEC and one that can't. They get caught-up in these recruiting rankings and star rankings and don't realize that these rankings have no affect on LSU coaches and the players they recruit and offer. These fans want to win the so called, "recruiting championship" and don't realize it's better to be an accurate evaluator of talent than to sign a bunch of 5 stars. And there may be times when a 3 star player is evaluated higher than a five star at a particular position. LSU coaches don't evaluate players on how good they are in high school, they evaluate them on how good they think they will be in college.

All of your 3 star players from Alabama are ours! Too bad Troy and UAB.

This is the level of RB Bama had to sign when we had sanctions. Had a roster of kids we beat out ULL, Jax State and Southern Miss for.

That's a hell of a school list to choose from. I wonder when he will get offers from UTSA and Alabama -Birmingham.

185 lbs. is light for a college player these days. Probably equivalent to Sammy Martin back in his day when Sam was 165. Prone to injuries.

State is going to take a 5* back from Destrehan and we’re out here battling Arkansas, Missouri, Purdue and ULL for a 3* out of Bama. O sure is a legendary recruiter.

I hate it when you guys act like it's I'd fault when these guys choose other teams. I am quite sure that O would prefer that we get everyone that we wanted. But at the end of the day, these guys have to make a decision that they feel is best for them. A personal decision for them is nobody else's fault. How can a grown person not know that.
