I wish this look would come back. I bought one for a scramble where my team wore tucked ties, knickers, and driver caps. It actually looks pretty good on me.

Kangols is a brand of these style hats and are usually wool. I have always heard this style called a "Gatsby" or "Newsboy" hat/cap. I have a couple and wear them to keep the dome warm.
