After entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal last month, former LSU outfielder Josh Stevenson announced Thursday that he is headed to Ohio State.

Stevenson, a sophomore from Youngsville, La., recorded ten at-bats this season after playing in 40 games last season with 15 starts.

His brother, Andrew, was an All-American and All-SEC outfielder with the Tigers for three seasons and is currently in the Minnesota Twins organization.

But it makes sense to you that he has to go to a cold weather school to chase tail?

Can’t blame him for transferring if it is playing time that he is after. Best of luck to him.

It would be no surprise to me if he gets up there and finds out the grass is not as green as it appears and he tries to get back to LSU in a year or two...

This comment seems well thought out.

Well he started the year before, and barely had any ABs this season so he obviously realized he got his spot taken and would probably never play at lsu. God forbid a kid not want to be the 5th outfielder on a team

Just don’t understand he could of part of being a CWS national champion. Then transferred. Imagine on your resume’ stating you were part of a Natty

Just came at a bad time - for the past 10+ years he’d have played right away for his defense and could wait for the bat to come around like his brother.

I'm glad we were able to settle our debt with OSU. We got Burrow and now they get Stevenson.
