Pulisic is also just now returning from a micro fracture during the World Cup…

I don’t know if he has actually had a strained relationship with Poch, and that’s a credit to both of their professionalism, but Pulisic is going to be right around the “fall off” age when the next World Cup hits.

If it was bad behind the scenes and Poch feels it is necessary to phase Pulisic out, I’m down with it. This current generation is heavily talented, but holy shite is it SOFT. Maybe some of the new blood will bring that cock-strong mentality with the apparent and emergent talent.

If it’s not been bad behind the scenes, I still agree with leaving Pulisic off the roster. Let him heal and get into a groove at the club level. He doesn’t need extra minutes on an already injury prone body.

I don’t think there’s anything going on between Poch and Pulisic. He’s just coming back from injury and should continue that recovery. I still think there’s a chance he gets called in. Weston won’t be there because of injury. And I doubt Albert gets the callup but would love to be proved wrong. I think he and Gozo need more time to gel with their clubs though.

Y'all are crazy, the USMNT player pool is in no position to turn away a healthy Pulisic.

Also, this is going to be a very experimental/young friendly camp, as has always been the case in the first international break after the World Cup.

Pulisic not getting a call up is a big nothing burger, but certain media will run with it because it gets clicks considering how the World Cup ended with Pulisic limping off the field.

The player pool doesn’t entirely matter for this camp. Plus, I said “phase out”, not “cut entirely”.

I forget the name of the blowhard that broke the Pulisic exclusion and quoted himself as saying the relationship with Poch was strained, but he can DIAF and blacklisted. In that order. Insult to injury.

Hack journalism should be punished by the organizations they cover with blacklisting. Bring receipts or STFU and stay out of our building.

But the Hershey, Pennsylvania product, who turns 28 on Friday, has had a strained relationship with Pochettino since skipping the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, which the U.S. narrowly lost to rival Mexico.

Last week, the former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss seemed to again criticize that decision, which Pulisic said he made to be ready for this summer’s World Cup

He committed two years ago when he filed his one time switch from Iceland

The sentiment is that he wants a senior team call up, but Klopp isn't going to give him one. So he either has to choose U21 Germany or USMNT senior.

I haven't seen anything positive on the US side, so I'd say he's going to make the one-time switch and go Germany U21.

There’s the douche nozzle I was referring to. I hate drama in journalism just for the sake of it.

ETA: I love the mix in this roster. Not enjoying Miles Robinson being there, but we’ll see if he is overtaken by any of the youth guys fairly quickly.

Trusty gives you some juice and skill. I've never seen anything from Miles to warrant repeated callups. He's apparently been bad in MLS this year too.

Matt Freese being back boggles the mind but there's not any other great options there. At least we're being spared Matt Turner.

I don't know how or why Miles Robinson is still rated. Especially when he was dogshit in the WC (he should've never been on the roster much less played a single minute) and boy oh boy if he trots Freese out there......

Mauricio's presser on the roster...nothing too earthshattering, but he did reiterate that these young players have a legit shot to make the team rosters going forward and that name and previous accomplishments aren't as important.

He’s been the best shot stopper in MLS this year. He’s the best goalie in terms of goals prevented and goals saved above average.

Been watching his comps almost on a weekly basis for a while now. He might eventually get there but he isn't there yet. And that is to US standards. To German standards he has light years to go. You can see he has good tools but he is a pretty soft defender still. Decent athleticism, nothing crazy. He's a plus on the ball for sure.

I'm way more excited about Neil Pierre

Too bad that is paired with anxiety attacks under pressure and the footwork of a freshly born giraffe…

Why can’t we have an average shot-stopper who is reliable enough to build out of the back and competent enough to launch it in pressure situations when necessary?

That's why Poch went with Freese, and... well...
