Electronic picture frame for grandkids to send pictures to

I am looking for a recommendation for one of those wifi picture frame doohookies for my grandmaw so her grandkids can send pictures to her. Needs to be something thats 100% automatic. She has no tech skills whatsoever.

You're using the words my grandparents used to; doohickies. Brought a tear to my eye.
I used a Skylight Frame for my 2nd set of parents. You just emailed pictures to a unique email address and they'd go into the rotation that the old peeps would see. My brother from a different mother just connected it to wifi at their house, and it was fire and forget from that point.

Aura at Costco.
Super easy connects directly to your Google photos account and you can filter by person so as you take new pics of your kids on your phone they automatically appear on the frame.
She can tap the side of the frame when a picture comes up she really loves and it will display a heart emotion over the pic and will send you a notification of which picture she loved.
Also you can turn the frame portrait or landscape and it will automatically readjust and re center the current photo.
Don't even look at anything else.

I was envisioning something along the lines of kids can text pictures to the frame and they pop up in the rotation

You're hitting on one of the reasons I like open devices. I don't do Google anything. The one I pointed out is simply pictures to email addresses. It shows up, with no credential issues, or anything else involved.

It's not just Google photos that it supports. That just happens to be what I have so I set that up to match certain people's faces and send those to the frame whenever I take a new photo on my phone.
I haven't so much as opened the Aura app in years. It just chugs right along getting fresh pics of the kids whenever I take a photo.
And as Lemmy pointed out, pretty much every frame it there has some kind of email, text or app to push photos to it.

I have a Skylight. It's great. It tells you when new photos arrive. And they have incredible customer service.

I'm going on 4th year with Aura for a granddaughter. It has a few quirks that become more aggravating when the pics exceed a few 100's. Standalone Aura is cumbersome and mostly featureless. I found Python script on GitHub that let me download all pics (~1500 at the time). That wasn't a Granny undertaking. You don't really need the frame, a smart phone/table is enough.

What kind of quirks? Mine is fed from an endless stream connected from a cloud photo account with 10s of thousands of images and the only issue I've ever come across is when the occasional photo pops up of my ex with the kids from years ago and my wife asks me to remove it. You just tap the top of the aura and say exclude.
I've had it about 5 years and aside from setting it up right after I unboxed it I literally don't give it a second thought.
Just sits on the shelf and plays photos spanning 40+ years of my life.
