Who's had experience with this from lifting? Any squat or lunge variation aggravates for me, as does any cycling.
How long did you have to treat it and rest it before resuming normal lifting? Thanks.

I was getting this in my heavy squat sets. I started wearing neoprene knee sleeves (Rehband) and warming up for 3-4 minutes on the air bike before beginning a leg workout and it seems to help a lot. I can't say I never feel it but I can usually push through it.

Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome

What does it feel like? I've been getting a really sharp pain in what feels like my kneecap whenever I put pressure on my right leg. Walking down stairs, running, etc. all hurt like a sumbitch. A little google searching keeps bringing this up, not sure if that's what it is or something worse.

I get that too sometimes. PT said it's a fat pad impingement. When I do high volume squats and get tired I have a tendency to shoot my hips forward, which puts my knees in a bad spot. Really only happens on bodyweight it really light squats where were doing really high volume in CF. Takes a week of laying off to calm down

If you are pushing through any pain you are likely doing further damage you will pay for worse eventually. You guys likely have weak or fatigued glutes or have a muscular imbalance where the lateral quads are much stronger and more active than the medial portion. You need to correct this or it will only get worse.
