Charging $125 for the links is nuts lol. Fun course. Normally good greens but not 125 nice….no thanks.

Once every month or two for me. Nice course but too rich for me to play twice a week.

Shitty course and never in good shape to charge that much.

It’s a nice course! I’m a member and really enjoy Pelican Point but I’ll say that paying $125 a pop to play is outrageous for it. It’s very nice, but it’s not THAT nice. The membership isn’t bad and definitely worth it, though.

I was a member there about 20 yrs ago and then moved out of state. The Links was private and the Lakes was public and both had 18 holes. So, the Lakes is now only 9 holes and The Links is semi-private?

That doesn’t sound right. I played the links several times back then without being a member.

Golf inflation is real. Just about every course in the United States costs double what it should. It sucks. That movie The Fighter with Christian Bale where he’s talking about the first time he smoked crack and he’s like “man I wish that day never happened.” That’s how I feel about the day I got addicted to golf with the damage it’s doing to my bank account!!!!

Ask your superintendent to show you how much fertilizer has gone up, and that’s only part of the problem.

Not sure what you have against Pelican Point but it’s obviously something.

Hates PP for some reason! Never misses an opportunity to state his case!

They charge $125 because they can. That is all that needs to be said.

They’re trying to protect the members that pay monthly by turning away some public play that tears up the course. Their dues can’t be more than $400-$500/month so if you play once a week it’s worthwhile
