34 of 88 to 32 of 69 (21 to 3 on offensive rebounds but did not convert often enough)

5 more made threes for Iowa

7 more made twos for LSU

6 more made free throws for Iowa

Game was fairly even. Just didn't make enough shots. LSU not making 1 or 2 more threes and/or 1 or 2 more twos was the difference.

If you’d have told me we’d have 20+ offensive boards and nearly 20 more shots, I’d say we’d win that game by 10 or more

Just crazy how bad our put backs were. Just chunking it up on the board

This is the entire tale to tell. We went cold in the second half.

The offensive rebounding stat is so misleading. Reese and morrow miss so many put backs and get all of their own misses. Angel’s 17pts and 20rebs is the most hollow statline out there.

Agreed. Tonight especially. Moses Malone would be proud.

As cold as I've ever seen. How many shots was it in a row that we missed? Wasn't it like 11? On nights like that, there's nothing more to it than it just wasn't meant to be. There honestly isn't much more to say. You could dissect the game from a hundred different angles, but when it comes down to it, they were a top 8 team, playing for the final four, and this team never played up to their full potential in this tournament. Yet and still, you really can't expect more from a team, from a season. Repeating is unbelievably difficult in college basketball.

Ppl blaming missed layups but the truth is LSU doesn't have 1 good consistent shooter.

Last year they had at least 2
