everyone's favortie news source

Superstar couple Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady, who wed in 2009, are going through a difficult period.

Brady, a seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and his wife, Bündchen, a fashion model, are dealing with "marital issues," according to a source close to the couple.
The two are currently "living separately," another source close to Bündchen told CNN.

Brady, 45, had retired from the NFL in February, only to later reverse that decision. He took an 11-day leave of absence from training camp in August to "deal with personal things," according to his head coach Todd Bowles.
In an interview with Elle magazine published this week, Bündchen, 42, said she had "concerns" about her husband returning to the field after initially retiring last winter.
"This is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present," Bündchen told the publication. "I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too."

quote:

In his "Let's Go!" podcast with co-host Jim Gray on Tuesday, Brady noted the impact of his decades of playing in the NFL in terms of his priorities.
"I haven't had a Christmas in 23 years and I haven't had a Thanksgiving in 23 years, I haven't celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are born from August to late January. And I'm not able to be at funerals and I'm not able to be at weddings," Brady told Gray. "I think there comes a point in your life where you say: 'You know what? I've had my fill and it's enough and time to go on, to move into other parts of life.'"

Tom will re-retire no later than mid-season is my bet.

How awesome would it be if Tom got half her wealth?

Who knows. I doubt he retires mid season though. He won't leave like that.

His offensive line is a disaster right now. He commented on that same podcast on how much more he's feeling those hits. He said he's committed for this year, but if there are problems at home, how much is his heart going to really be in it?

FTR, I think Bill Simmons either predicted an in-season retirement or said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened.

When’s the last time an athlete of Brady’s caliber retired in the middle of the season?

I'm thinking Tom will end up looking a bit like Peyton Manning did in his final season for Denver. Just doesn't have "it" anymore..then again..it's Tom Brady and it would be foolish to count him out. Goat.

That's a preposterous prediction. Tom just played 3 nights ago and he is still delivering a beautiful and heavy ball. He's got incredible zip on his passes. Easily a top 5 QB still although I think this game on Sunday is as scary on paper as any game he's had in Tampa.

We'll see. I know its a different situation but if Tom starts getting hit a lot we'll see.

Brad's caliber? Never, because he's the GOAT

Antonio Brown bounced out in the middle of a game

Tom,

Great opinion. “It could be A or it could be B.”

If you’re gonna hedge your bet that much, it would be more efficient to say “I don’t know”

Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever. He's defied everything that's been thrown at him. I would happily eat the crow and have him get another all time season..BUT

He is going to have a shite season. His receivers core is already banged up and his offensive line can't block. He's going to get hit a ton and it's going to negatively affect him throughout the season. He will look old.

Better?
