He once missed a high school basketball game with a concussion he suffered by hitting his head on the rim in practice.

He ran a 4.3 40 last summer before his freshman season, at 6-foot-4 and well over 200 pounds.

Drake Davis on Russell Gage:
quote:

“Like Russell Gage, when he wants to do something, you can’t stop him. Because mentally and physically, he’s able to do it, so you can’t stop that from happening. That’s the level I’m trying to get at.”

Worsham also tweeted that he snuck onto the field on special teams during the aTm game... Then made two tackles on the kick team.

Hannigriff made a point last week that it's somewhat concering(I'd say interesting or intriguing) that guys like Davis, Anderson, and Sullivan have been passed up by seemingly physically inferior guys like Gage and Dillon(though he's pretty freakish himself with the ball, just not as big). Hard to know if that's a negative on the former guys or just a huge positive on the latter. I'm more intrigued than anything. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Landry and Beckham were both under 6 feet tall and under 205 when they played here. There were taller, heavier, more 'physical' receivers on the team then too. But talent isn't always about 'physical'. Heart, determination, and leadership (not to mention hands of glue) are what separates good from great.

Donte Jackson almost did it last year if not for the penalty.

Two really hard workers. Especially Gage. It's no surprise to me that they've passed up everyone else.

Davis will get there. Remember he's a sophomore who only has played football for 2 years. Will really come on in his junior and senior seasons and will be a high draft pick. I gah-ron-tee!

Chark- Dillon - D Davis, that is some serious speed. all 3 on the field at the same time would be a track meet

I think Drake is going to be our deep ball guy. You have all the fakes in the back field with Gage, Dillion, Guice, Moore, or Moreau, then you send Sullivan, Chark, or Drake out deep. Possibly send (2) of them. I've been ready to see all streak routes straight up the field with 3 to 5 WRs. Have some break off the route and some continue, this usually fools the safety and leaves someone wide arse open.

You make the WR who has been tearing the defense up break off his route and let a guy like Drake who hasn't gotten a catch, go deep, no attention paid, most of the time.

Canada is going to shread a few teams this year if not many. We will put at least a few games together on offense. Even if we have a few mistakes, I think we can still put up 30 or 40 points. We have the ability to put up 50 or 60 if the offense has a good day.

I'm pumped to see it and Canada even said, not long ago, in an interview, that this offense is going to put on a show this year. Says that's his job to do that. So I don't think you will see the Tigers letting off the gas at all. It's going to be, this is our offense, STOP IT!
