2028 I don’t see any LSU offers. What am I missing?

For what year? We’re owning the current recruiting class…

I get what he's saying because 6 out the top 10 players have committed out of state so Not gonna break down each players circumstance like Haven that signed with Alabama or Royal who is still a possibility but he's correct based solely on rankings.

Got it, well OP here’s your break down:
-There is a high chance we still get Royal, I would actually say we’re currently the favorite.
-We were never really in the running for Haven because we picked Pop.
-Simien was probably always leaving the state. And a lot of people said that A&M and Notre Dame offered him a WAY bigger bag than we were willing to offer.
-I’m guessing Whitley is the other one that’s in question according to your list, we are in on way bigger fish (like Royal) and Frank Wilson/ Pete Golding had to “beat LSU for a recruit”.

I understand Lanes strategy for this year being but behind in recruiting and targeting players that will make a immediate impact through the portal and certain positions in HS but I don’t understand why offers haven’t been made to top players in LA. I also think we could get bunch of 3 star Louisiana kids at a good price. I’d take 2-3 star Louisiana kid over 3-4 star out of state any day. I did notice several of the top nation wide recruits did have offers in the 2028 class. I have total confidence in LK.

(Full disclosure, I’m not your downvote on this lol)
And I get what you want to accomplish, but just know: a 2 star or 3 star is very different from a 4 star. Regardless of whether they’re in TX or CA or FL or LA. If that wasn’t the case, Tulane, ULL and La Tech would all be dominant and be in the P4 somewhere. I know people like listing Hester and J-Jets as examples of this, but they are one offs that don’t come along very often.

Its too early to care. We have offered quite a few 28 instate kids so far. 3 RBs alone. That said, $ is in play now which means evaluations matter and perhaps commitable offers to instate kids arent as cut and dry as they once were. LSU fans need to come to grips with the new reality that LSU isnt going to built around LA kids the way it is used to. I dont see that as a bad thing. The state isnt prosperous enough to maintain a championship caliber program long term. Hence our cyclical success. Gluttonous with skill but lacking beef.
