Sam Leavitt gets an invite to NYC for Heisman and is a serious threat to win it.

Change my mind.

TBH, I think even if he goes 4 and 0 they will not invite him even though he would probably deserve it. Just a hunch

Jeremiah Smith was the betting favorite, but he lost his starting QB.

Leavitt has already caught/passed up Chambliss

Others QB candidates:

Mensah (Miami)
CJ Carr (ND)
Mestemaker (OK State)
Stockton (UGA)

Interceptions will hurt him in the voting, but I could see an invite.

To be honest, aside from M. Toney and J. Smith, no one IMO has stood out as a clear front runner…so why not Sam?!

It could happen

Sam's recent numbers are in line with the top qb contenders.

Pencil in Mensah for the award.
There's nobody who will take it from him.

Would be incredible to see Leavitt get an invite.....and beat Chambliss esp.

But, then he'd go pro.......

If he gets a few “heisman moments” against Bama and the UTs, when the majority of the nation and media are watching, then he for sure has shot.

I'm sure voters have already settled on Mensah or Smith.

Mensah will have absurd stats at the end of the year with their schedule. If they beat notre dame and he looks decent doing it, it’s over.

The only advantage Mensah has is his team is ranked #1 & a 22/1 TD/INT ratio.
Add in Sam’s rushing and he blows him away.

11/7 will be a big factor in the Heisman race.

Mensah could be the front runner with a good performance against ND. Or with a poor performance, he could open the door for Sam with a win against Bama

If he can limit his INTs to 2 (3 at very most) during the final stretch he would likely be in a good position. Plenty of guys have won the award with double digit interceptions.

Mensah's #s are pretty staggering right now but nobody has the opportunity in front of them more than Sam and the LSU Tigers currently
