I thought this was common knowledge. Since NIL everyone knows there is no longer any depth to teams. If you aren't starting you leave for a different school. And even then you might leave as a starter to go chase more money.

Honesty here. Watching the CFP last year the quality was bad. There are no great teams but a bunch of ok teams. Even Indiana wasn’t amoung the best I’ve ever seen. Even the NFL looks like it’s dropped off to me.

The 2019 LSU team would destroy any NCAA team that ever or will ever put on football uniforms. It ain't even close.

I don’t know that they would destroy some of those Alabama teams, but they would definitely win

To Kirby's point, 2019 was the end of the era, so 2019 LSU was not affected by the roster depth concern that NIL brings. And yes, 2019 LSU was the GOAT team

He's right. Teams today are terrible overall compared to before 2020

He's not wrong. The depth on those teams were insane. The second and third stringers were mostly high 4* and 5* players. Saban made recruiting look easy, but that's because he was an insane workaholic who never stopped (which is not easy) and made sure his staff never stopped. Age eventually got to him like it does with many. There will never be another like him.

I'll always be an LSU fan, but the current state of NCAA football blows...

Truth. Bama could be really good right now and I don't think I would care nearly as much as I did from 2011 and before.
