Harvey Updyke, the Alabama fan who became famous for poisoning trees at Auburns Toomer’s Corner in 2013, has passed away due to natural causes at 71-years-old. Updyke plead guilty and spent more than 70 days in jail. The court also ordered Updyke to pay $800,000 in restitution fees, but he reportedly only paid $6,900 before he passed. R.I.P. Harvey...

He moved not to far from me in Livingston Parish I’ve never met him but my barber played poker with him and some other guys on Saturday nights. He said Harvey was nice and regretted his actions, said he lost family and friends over it... everyone makes mistakes
