The Med is too interesting to restrain it to Italy. I'm not sure why you can't dispute what I actually said, but you get to go ad hominem. I'm not nice, but I'm blunt. Attack the argument, sir.

You know, there can be a lot to explore in Italy and the med right. It's not one or the other, VA just likes Italy

We've repeated it a few times. We weren't looking for a once in a lifetime vacation or destination. Our plan was to spend less on the honeymoon and make travel a vital part of our relationship for the rest of our lives.

The trip itself? Probably not. We went to Hawaii. Stayed on the island of Kauai and had a great time.

The part I would change is "then when". Rushing right off to a honeymoon after a stress filled wedding doesn't always set the tone right. Give them some time to decompress. Maybe stay in a nice local hotel for a day or two to unwind. Splurge on that. Nice food. Drink. Let them relax a little first. Weddings are very stressful, particularly on a bride.

I do love Italy. I also said I "could" go there 10 years in a row and still find new places to go to and explore. I did NOT say that was my intent.

I'm also one of the more well-traveled people on this board so I'm not sure where the comment came from to be honest.

The funny thing is, I am going to Italy in September but it will be my first trip there in 6 years.

I ended up with trips there in July and September of this year. Not sure how that happened

Enjoy it!

Regardless of whether this is true or not, you have to know how douchey you sound when you say it.

Yeah, it could have been worded differently.

His post yesterday pissed me off.

We’ve all been there bud. Lord knows I’ve made my fair share of douche comments in the past.

If someone has to say this on an anonymous forum board about LSU... then good for them. Just know when you think you are the best at something, someone right next to you is always better.

We did Sandaly Royal Bahamian in Nassau. Would not do it again. We enjoyed it, but much better resorts and islands out there.

I’ve noticed that a lot of people share your views on timing.

Almost no one I know had their honeymoon right after the wedding. They usually went 3 to 6 months after (totally unrelated to Covid).

We did our honeymoon a few months after our wedding. Would definitely recommend. We got to see people who had travelled in for our wedding that Sunday and Monday. Would recommend this to anyone.

I would absolutely repeat our honeymoon. 16 days in Japan. Climbed Mt fuji. Biked the shimanani kaido. Loved everything we did. Would have liked to figure out how to go to Hokkaido is repeating the trip planning.

Only reason I wouldn’t repeat it is because time is finite and there is a lot in this world we’ve never seen. For that reason, we’ve never really “repeated” any trip abroad.

Ours was fantastic. We had no money. First night in Natchez. The EOLA.

Then to the French Quarter for a few nights in the St. Louis, 1985...awesome time to be in a wonderful city.

I miss that city.

We left from the reception to a hotel near the airport. Flew out early the next morning to Tahiti. Did an overwater bungalow on Moorea for 3 nights. Then a beach bungalow on Bora Bora for 3 more. Was awesome, wouldn't change a thing. We've talked about going back but it won't be anytime soon. We're hooked on the BVI.

Her family was local and had a larger attendance so getting the hell out of Dodge worked great for me. She wasn't stressed about it at all but it probably helped that we kept the ceremony and reception small.

Sandals Ocho Rios in Jamaica—nope, never again, would not repeat.

If all over again, Bora Bora or Lana’i.
