What is your favorite Disney resort to stay and why?

Ours is Boardwalk or Yacht Club. You can get rooms for as low as $350 a night in certain times of the year and its walking distance to Epcot and a boat ride to Hollywood studios.
My son and I like the ESPN zone and my wife likes the shops.

Wife and I do Beach Club/Yacht Club for Food and Wine. It's nice to be able to stumble back to your room.
Other than that it's the Grand Floridian and it isn't even close.

We tend to stay off property for the savings, but I agree, Boardwalk/Yachtclub is the best location on the resort.

We've stayed at Bay Lake Towers, , Yacht Club , Contemporary, Wilderness and AK Jambo and I'd rate them in that order. I like BLT due to being able to Magic Kingdom and Yacht Club due to being able to walk to Epcot. Wilderness and Jambo were great, just a little out of the way.
We are going for Thanksgiving and staying at Boardwalk this time, looking forward to that.

We stayed at Wilderness Copper Canyon. And Beach Club this past trip. Previous stays were Port Orleans Riverside.
My favorite is Wilderness. Really gives that awesome theming and really nice. I didn’t overall care for Beach club minus the pool and location of course.

We usually go twice per year. Summer at beach club and fall/winter at boardwalk. I prefer boardwalk but the kids like storm along bay.
In my option, the crescent lake resorts location can’t be beat. With that said, we usually end up in Epcot most nights.

OK. Go on...
In my opinion it's the most opulent and beautiful hotel on Disney property.

last trip we booked last minute at Pop Century. I was pleasantly surprised...updated rooms, gondola to Epcot and HS
Id go there again and we're typically resort snobs

Boardwalk takes the top spot followed by Beach Club. Wilderness Lodge comes in 3rd. Geyser Point at WL when the weather is nice is the best bar/lounge on property IMO.

Beachclub/Yachtclub..walk back and forth to Epcot for dinner/drinks every afternoon
Polynesian..on the monorail line
Port Orleans/Dixie Landing..its a nice, relaxing area and the boat back and forth to Disney springs for meals and drinks

My favorite that I’ve stated in was the wilderness lodge. That’s about the most I’m willing to spend on a Disney hotel.
A surprise value is either the dolphin or swan. Bus transportation to all the parks and the buses are usually empty. You can take a boat or walk to Epcot. There is also a boat to Hollywood. The price is really good. Only bad thing is that you can’t get the Disney dining plan.

Contemporary
On the monorail line, Disney classic resort, just all around amazing. Had zero complaints

We’ve stayed at Wilderness, Yacht club, Coronado, Caribbean beach, and Art of Animation.
The yacht club is by far the best I’ve stayed at because of the location. Any of the Contemporary area resorts are high on my list to try, but super pricey for our budget.

Have stayed at Pop Century a couple of times and would definitely recommend if you are devoting most if not of your time to the parks. It is definitely a significant step up over the All-Star. Only stayed in one of those once for a couple of nights and never will again. First trip we took stayed at Coronado Springs. Was pretty good but the only additional amenity we used over what Pop Century offers was the gym, and that was just me.

I hear some of you on the pop century but with a 2 year old it's tough because you not going to spend all day at the parks.
It's just easier to spend the money and bring the mother-in-law to help watch the kids.
When it was just the wife and I and my son it was drop the shite off at the value hotel and spend literally daylight to dark at the parks. Having a 2 year old is so much different. Its so nice to leave Epcot, put the kid in the stroller and walk back to the Crescent lake area at anytime.
Thanks for the one who mentioned Crescent Lake btw...that's good way of explaining all 3 (Yacht, Beach and Boardwalk) resorts in one.

Two year old with a strict schedule, no help like parents, still recommend boardwalk?

Boardwalk or contemporary.
We’ve stayed both. I say Contemproary for a 2 yr old. Contemporary my kids were young and it was great walking back there from the Magic Kingdom.
Boardwalk is great for close to Epcot. We’ve used park hoppers to go to Epcot for dinner many nights.
We’ve also done Wilderness Lodge around Christmas and Polynesian.
My favorite is Contemporary for sentimental reasons.
Want to try Beach Club/Yacht Club next.
