Bora Bora was very relaxing. We booked a couple of activities, but they were never far out of the way and only took a couple hours.
Santorini and Mykonos were also very relaxing. We didn't really have a set itinerary, so we ended up just kinda exploring the island and carrying on at our own pace.

I often am tired after a vacation.
Same here. We usually come home a couple days before returning to work just to wash clothes, catch up on house stuff, and just rest.
When my wife and I plan vacations with the kids, we don't try to plan a bunch of activities, that way we can do as much or as little as we feel like. Cancun beaches can be pretty busy, but places like Tulum and Roatan are quiet and relaxing.

I grew up backpacking and doing Europe on the go, so I don't often sit down on vacation.
Went to Secrets Playa Mujeres for our honeymoon in 2017 and it was incredible. Laid on the beach for 5 days with a book and drink in hand. Played golf a couple of times. Hell the maid folded both our dirty and clean laundry one day while we were out.
Only thing I had to think about was what to eat, how much to drink, and how much sun I wanted to get. Very relaxing.

2nd vote for St Lucia
Roads are terrible so no rental. Resort had little tuk-tuk cars (kinda like a fancied up golf cart) to take you anywhere you wanted to go in the resort. Butler coordinated everything including meal reservations, spa times, any excursions you might want to do. Sunset booze cruise was great, snorkeling, off resort to volcanic mud baths.
The only thing we had to do was be ready to get whisked away on time. Or let the butler know to cancel or change any of the plans for us.

Heading to Isla Mujeras in 6 weeks. I am hoping it checks that box!

Naples, Fl my wife and I loved. Beach days, dinner in the downtown area, no concrete plans.

You will be planning your return to Isla before you even leave there

Was supposed to go to the Bahamas
GF lost her passport
We just kept the leg of the trip flying to Miami
Sat at the hotel pool all day and drank
That was it for five days
Literally insanely relaxing

A cruise. Just drove to the location. Got on the boat and was done.

Corfu. At least that was the very relaxing part of a whirlwind summer tour of Europe. The Corfu ferry was covered by our Eurail pass. We intended to stay for a couple of days and ended up there for a week. It was cheap and heaven after a bunch of big cities.

I'm 51 years old and most of our trips to other locations have been scripted. Especially when our daughter was younger and growing up. We are sightseers and we like history.
So most of our trips were long planned out 7-12 days road trips where we would drive hundreds if not thousands of miles spending 2-3 days in each city doing the attractions.
With a cruise we drive anywhere from 2-7 hours and get on a ship and then I am done and can relax. I can get up early and eat pastries and then go to bfast. Play trivia eat lunch, take a nap, go to dinner and then go to the comedy club or show. Depending on where we go and if I have been there I might get off the ship, I might not.

Went to a really nice resort in Grenada during the height of the pandemic. Couldn't go anywhere and could only really lie next to the ocean, read books, eat delicious food, and drink rum cocktails for an entire week. It was by far the most relaxing trip I've ever had.

We do cruises for relaxation. Don't have to think about a thing.
