9 restaurants with confirmed Coved-19 and even City Hall has closed due to a confirmed case. Hangout, Desotos, LuLus, Gt’s on the bay to name a few. Flora Bama fighting that good Florida line fight right now. Not looking good down here folks! I’m still fighting the good fight and appreciating all the money you guys are spending!

Have a trip planned for Perdido at the end of July...

Only lose $200 if cancel today, if not then would have a "credit" if we're not allowed to go at the end of July.

Do yall think the beaches will still be open late July?

Would yall cancel, then rebook closer to the date?

Just wondering what yall forecast.

TIA!

I'd say yes but who knows what government will do. Beaches were closed in April so it can happen again.

I could see beaches closing up in August because kids will be going back to school that month and state might want to ease the travel from out of towners.

If it were me I'd keep the reservation

Thats my pitch as well to keep the reservation.

We could always go again later in september etc...go for 2 long weekends or something.

I am not as worried as I am about places being closed, moreso just not being able to go to the beach/pool with the kids when we're out there or if going into FLA having the whole quarentine 14 days BS.

Where else is there to go out to? We went to florabama on Sunday night but it just wasn’t the same.

Is live bait any fun?

Live Bait Two in the back is ok but crowd/music is hit or miss. Sometimes packed with younger kids.

A little different atmosphere but your group might like Fisher's downstairs or upstairs on the deck. Good drinks in nice setting.

Kind of chill but Big Beach Brewing if you like beer.

Not sure if Keg has live music and I haven't been in that place in years but might be worth checking out

Aside from FloraBama, Orange Beach/Gulf Shores is mostly larger restaurants with bars attached.

Bump to get any latest info on OB and Gulf Shores.

We are headed there in two weeks and really don’t want to have to cancel.

TIA

I was in OBA last week, it was business as usual except for beach chairs being 6 feet apart. People and traffic everywhere

No one is wearing mask based on my experiences at Buccees, Publix, Walgreens, elevators etc.

What are some of the less crowded beaches in Bama and Florida? Someone suggested Fort Morgan to me. I've never been there though.

I'm looking to get something on the beach for just My wife, 2 kids, and me. So I don't want anything very crowded but don't know if that's possible or not.

In order of being nice as well as less crowded
Navarre Beach
Perdido Key
Ft. Morgan.

Navarre doesn't have any high rise condo's and such so that's a good place to start.

Even in Orange Beach though, if you are staying at a low density place without a big place next to it on either side, the beaches can be comfortable.

I don't think you have anything to worry about as far as having to cancel.
My only suggestion is what has already been mentioned in this thread regarding dining out. It's a mess in that area with lot's of places not having enough staff and the wait times are crazy at places along the beach.

Probably better just to cook in your condo or plan to pick up boiled seafood or pizza, etc.
