Hope everyone on here is doing well
. Been way too long since I've done one of these and given my recent flight browsing for Alaska I'm seeing some pretty good fall deals out currently across the US. Most deals are from the third week of August through the third week of November so if you're planning a football trip, a trip to go see the leaves change, or need a break now is the time to start looking. As always if you have any questions or specific issues, feel free to ask and myself or someone on here will hopefully be able to help.
New Orleans to:
Salt Lake City- $177 on Delta, $195 on United or American or Southwest. Not sure I've seen the nonstop on Delta at this price before, but pretty good deal. Even in January it's only $219 roundtrip so if you're starting the ski search might be worth it to book a flight knowing there will be a schedule change between now and then. LINK
Seattle- $197 on United, $217 on Delta.
Anchorage- $259 on United, $264 on Delta. I remember posting a deal like this a while ago and I think it was Tigershark who was able to make this happen/had a great trip. Hopefully he can chime in with tips if anyone decides to book this. May need to book two one-ways to get the best deal. LINK
Minneapolis- $111 on Spirit, $168 on Delta, $174 on American.
Boston- $177 on Jetblue, $195 on Delta or Southwest, $215 on American. Pretty good price for the nonstops on Jetblue, looks like it's good for most of fall.
NYC- $111 on Spirit, $157 on United, $175 on Jetblue, $186 on Delta. Pretty good pricing to NYC for the nonstops to any of the airports
Pittsburgh- $160 on Spirit, $174 on American, $179 on United.
Savannah- $148 on AA, $157 on Delta, $175 on United.
Orlando- $76 on Frontier, $165 on Spirit, $174 on AA.
Miami- $86 on Spirit, $107 on AA. Seems pretty cheap on AA
Cartagena- $266 on Spirit. Started moving towards the Caribbean and caught this, seems pretty reasonable.
Aruba- $420 on AA
. Some obnoxious layovers for the cheapest pricing, but spend the extra $50 more for reasonable flight times.
St. Croix- $208 on Spirit. With the checked bag fees it's probably around $300/person, still not bad. LINK
Denver- $120 on Frontier, $160 on United or Southwest. Oddly enough it looks like frontier opened their inventory through January so again for a ski trip this might not be bad to book something now.
Jackson Hole- $171 on American, $201 on Delta or United. Not much availability but looks random dates in September.

that’s a great price for the United nonstop.
I’ve taken that flight a dozen times and it’s always on time and hassle free. Leave MSY in the morning and land in Denver mid morning

Yeah looks like it's mostly Tues/Wed/Sat from mid August through November plus a few Mondays/Thurs/Fri/Sun depending on the weekend. I'm seeing 3 nonstops on United to DEN- 8:11am, 12:30pm, or 4:28pm

Very cool airport. Worth flying into even if you don’t leave the plane.

yes 3 flights a day
the 1230 is actually the better flight (smaller plane, but much more comfortable)

What is the best way to look for deals? Going to Gatlinburg end of December for a wedding and want to look at flights. Also looking to go somewhere in mid-October.

LINK $194 on American, stops in Miami. Jetblue is $297 nonstop

I generally just browse around on Google flights and Southwest's pages for the best deals. Gatlinburg you can start looking now but don't expect anything great price wise for a few months.
The mid October I'd definitely start looking now. All the airlines are doing their October flight schedule changes and prices are reasonable for a lot of places. I'd expect fall to have some cheap fares when the kids are back in school

Awesome thanks! You expect Gatlinburg to be go down in price in the next few months? Everything I see is around $800-$900 for 2 round trip tickets from BTR/MSY - Knoxville

I'm trying to find flights from MSY to DEN for the week of Thanksgiving (Sunday to Sunday, as I have a dr appointment in Denver on the Monday). Prices on United are in the $500 range and on Southwest for $369 (but with terrible times). Would you anticipate that prices will fall or stay the same or even increase since it's a holiday week?

Haven’t flown Spirit in a few years, but I remember them gigging you for an extra $50 to 100 for any checked bags etc…. Sill the same?
Anyone have updates on Lafayette airport great deals? I love flying out of there.

Nice finds! The damn rental cars in ANC will cost more per day than the flight.

Thanks cuse. I’ve actually been shopping SLC lately for round trip airfare for 4 for our ski trip. Feb 25 return mar 1. Im actually thinking about flying out of Shreveport for the first time. Alexandria is insanely expensive on those dates.
