Summer 2024: Where in the world to go?

Turning 30 this year and itching for another big vacation but need recommendations on where to go next summer. Leaning Europe but also open to South America, Asia is a distant third (just went). The only place I'd rather not see again is Italy, spent a good bit of time there a few years ago. I would rather not stick in one city but be able to move around, would like to see the tourist sights but also looking for a good time.
Initial thoughts: Greek islands, Northern Europe (Netherlands/Denmark/Sweden), SW Europe (France/Spain), SA (Argentina/Chile)
Appreciate any and all ideas

I just did Belgium and Italy for my 30th, but you can't go wrong with any of the places you mentioned.
Just remember, it'll be winter in South America

I know this isn't close to anything you mentioned, but our family took an Alaskan cruise, with 4 days on land, and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
I feel like cruises are pretty divisive, so if you aren't a cruise person, maybe doesn't work for you. Although, you are always pretty close to land, and you end up spending a lot of time on land with the additional days we spent in Denali national park.

Our plans for summer 24 are :
Switzerland in June for 10 days. Flying Dfw-Zurich. Staying in Lauterbrunnen
Cali trip July. - flying Dfw to San Fran. - 4 days in Monterey - 4 days at Yosemite.
To your initial thoughts. We did Greece this summer and it was great. Flew Houston to Athens. Took the SeaJets ferry for 3 days in Santorini and 4 in Naxos. Trip of a lifetime. You def can’t go wrong there.

If you are going to the greek islands I would recommend Santorini, also Spain has some nice islands you can go to visit like Ibiza. You could also go to Cabo Verde which are Spanish islands off the west coast of Africa which were really cool to visit.

We really enjoyed Santorini when we went last year. We stayed in Oia instead of Fira which is where all of the cruise ships dock, so we were distanced somewhat from the day trippers.
Also, if you do Greece, you'll likely fly in/out of Athens. Don't spend more time there than you have to. Can see the historic sites in an afternoon and then move on

We’re going to Iceland in 2 months and driving the entire ring road over 10 days.

I just went to Kyrgyzstan. It was an incredible experience, but only if you are cool with a different, gritty, outdoors-heavy trip.

Jealous. That’s near the top of the bucket list for me.

I am going to Warsaw for Metallica in 2024. I was planning on hitting places internal to Poland for a week, but then I watched The Grand Tour: Eastern Europe. If the job allows, I'm going to blow it out into a multi week trip of Slovakia, Poland, Slovenia, etc. The scenery was stupid good.

Loved Iceland. One of my favorite trips ever. Can’t wait to go back at some point.

Headed to Athens (and other islands, then Italy) in less than two weeks. Cannot wait.

Set some flight trackers and deal alerts with a couple of options and go wherever is cheaper. Consider the conversion rate also and what you get for your $$$. As said consider weather and time of year you are going.

Especially if you are leaving from IAH, give a strong look at Turkish.

I’m leaving in less than two weeks…safe to say I already booked my flight.
Direct flight out of Boston on Delta One.

Stumbled into these joints in the Athens plaka many years ago. Enjoyed them then.
Brettos
James Joyce
Also fairly confident we did the rooftop bar at the Grand Bretagne Hotel on Syntagma Square.

Some great ideas and notes in here
This is on my list one day just probably not this time
This was more what I was thinking, hopping around to different towns

Turkish airlines? Noticed earlier they were by far the cheapest into Greece. Is Instanbul a relatively safe city? If so, would be cool to explore for a day during a layover
