I thought the White House banned all international travel? Or was that fake news? I can’t remember if I read a meme or a news report anymore. What day is it anyway?

I had a year full of great stuff planned.

Now I'm potentially reduced to being stuck in a fricking apartment like I'm in jail.

I'm going to have use it or lose it leave at the end of the year for the first time in a decade...

We've had to cancel 15 days of leave for trips we canceled.

Does this include ALL travel? I was thinking in a week or two if this shite is still going on that I'd try to rent a cabin in middle of nowhere Vermont for a few days and work from there. Just for a change of scenery and to get out of my one bedroom apartment for a bit.

Only applies to international travel, and for now is only an advisory. Only way they can keep you from traveling internationally is to suspend your passport.

They are just saying you may get somewhere and get stuck if transportation does shut down and/or other countries lock down. You could also be stuck for several weeks before being allowed back in the US.

Frick off man you are the one that chooses to work there due to the increased pay. That was your decision, don't complain to us about it.

I hate shite like this.

Someone always has it worse than someone else. Let people vent if they’re disappointed. 1UP-ing someone as having it worse is the same damn thing.

You've obviously never been there.

This is slightly off topic I guess, but do we think things will be back to normal with entertainment/recreation/travel by August? That's my anniversary month and there are some outstanding flight deals (domestic) id love to jump on, I just don't want to take the risk if things may still be wonky then

This is going to vary widely by region. Peak will be reached some places much earlier than others.
