Besides the Hilton, any recs?

I’ve been tasked to book a room for client from Japan.

(Don’t ask why Shreveport of all places lol.)

Why “besides the Hilton”? It’s the only decent place there that’s not a casino.

Is in Bossier City, not Shreveport.

Where will Japanese visitor be doing business? That could influence the choice. You have a couple of decent hotels downtown, Hilton and Remington, and decent Hampton and Holiday Inn in SE part of town. Those areas are quite far apart, so location will matter.

I’d avoid Bossier hotels if business is in Shreveport because I-20 in Bossier is torn to hell for repaving and must be avoided.

It isnt that big of a difference as everything is in a small area. Go over the Texas St. bridge right there and you're in Shreveport

Would absolutely sees 5-6 felonies committed on the first night alone, but the pan fried seabass and northern style duck are worth it.

Someone from Japan would appreciate the size of the Remington rooms and the bar. Pay another $20 to upgrade him to a suite for even more room.

If not the Hilton, do the Remington. Or, book him at the Horseshoe.

There is supposedly a Marriott opening on E. 70th but every time I'm in town the construction seems to have regressed.

That project has been going on for 5+ years. No idea why it's taking so long, but it's been a joke. There was a sign saying opening in spring 2022. Nope.
