The Keg has great hamburgers, cheap beer and a 1970’s dive vibe. Good option when everyone else is standing in the parking lot waiting to eat at the popular places.

Doc’s Seafood Shack is an institution but can get crowded.

Avoid Tacky Jacks.

I discovered a place like this earlier this year called the Pink Pony Pub. It's been there since 1958 and now gotten a little more popular due to The Hangout being next door. Pretty good grub for a dive.

OP, Fishers is very good. Upstairs is fancy. Downstairs is casual.

ETA, dont want folks connecting the dots to me IRL

I would have never eaten there, although current owners are not the same

Tacky Jacks is horrible for lunch and dinner even by tourist trap standards. They actually have a pretty solid breakfast though.

Agreed.
I mean if you need a place to take the kids to eat and drink near the water, it's not a bad option, but it is indeed overpriced junk.

Just got back from OB last week, we hit The Gulf (been a few times) , Cobalt (been a few times) and Playa (our first time) and all were very good beach type places.

Wanted to hit Anchor Bar and Grill, but, didn't have time. Their menu looks good.

We like Sea and Sand. Also Franco’s casual Italian. Lulu’s is always a nice atmosphere.

Fishers is a definite stop. Also a stop at Blalocks Seafood for some steamed shrimp and crabs.

Went to Anchor bar and grill last week...only outside seating, nice view, 'unique' menu, everyone enjoyed, highly recommend.
