New York City in a day and a half!

I’ll be in NY/NJ for a conference and I’ll be extending the trip by one day so that my friend who has never been gets a full experience. I’ve managed to work in the Staten Island Ferry, Statue of Liberty crown tickets, and a Rockefeller Square night before our full day of NY.
Her bucket list still includes the World Trade Center and Times Square.
I’m looking for suggestions on the best way to spend our day that includes those two stops.
Our date is Dec 3.
Any NYC peeps that can help us out?

Go to the top of 30 Rock, the view is great! You should go to Times Square after your evening at 30 Rock. There is a cool art show that happens at midnight. Other than that Times Square isn’t that great.
I’d try to do the Statue of Liberty and WTC in the same day because they are both in lower Manhattan.

911 museum will take up at least half of a day.
We went recently and took my 9 year old for the first time. We did WTC tower first thing in the morning. I’d recommend riding subway down to oculus then doing it. After you could just do ferry to see Statue of Liberty. We went over to Brooklyn for lunch. There is a huge food hall right at end of the bridge.
Go see a show. We saw Music man (ehhh) and Hamilton which was great.

Staten Island ferry is great at sunset or after dark, when the statue is lit up.

Your friend will not get a full experience.

Yeah you need at least 3 days to get a good taste of everything, if you can, extend it longer. If not, you can still have fun, but they will miss a lot.
