We also went to St Lucia as well, but stayed at Cap Maison—a boutique all-inclusive. It was what we were looking for, excellent food and drinks and a laid back atmosphere. Beach wasn’t bad, but it’s more in a cove so it’s a little Rocky. Good experience all around.

A backup? No, you just figure out something if a disaster scenario happens.

We had ours at Secrets Cap Cana in the DR years ago and enjoyed it.

I'd also look at Hyatt Zilara/Ziva...The Zilara side is adults only. We went a year ago and really thought it was nice.

For a day trip you can go to Scape Park

Same, we stayed at the Sandals Regency La Toc in St Lucia and had a great experience.

100% true story, Matt Canada and his wife were in the room next to us, they were nice people. This was just a short time after he'd been hired by Maryland.

We did Sandals in St. Lucia. It was nice because there are a total of 3 Sandals on the island and they have a shuttle that runs to all 3. We didn't have any problems. Enjoyed the all inclusive because there was never any lines at the bars. Splurge and get a butler.

Hyatt just opened some great all-inclusives in the Caribbean if I'm not mistaken.
