You are a good photographer.
Can I ask, is a certain setting/setup you use as your go to all around on your camera?

It depends on the lighting and what I am looking for. On a sunny day and I am shooting street photography, I will shoot in AV around a f/9, but if its low light, I will set in TV at 1/60 at the slowest.
It also depends on what I effect I am looking for. The Tiffany & Co shot above was shot in f/2.8 because I wanted the low depth of field, making the sign the only thing in focus, and the old couple in bokah. Funny thing is, you cannot tell, but the dog is taking a shite as I took the photo.
A lot of the shots above are long exposures and of course are tripod mounted.

I was about to put together my shots from my trip, but I'm a bit embarrassed L. These are incredible shots. I hope you and your daughter enjoyed it!

Professional level stuff there! Great work.
So..tell me more about Venice? We fly in there in October, but are going to Croatia and Slovenia, then later to the Friuli region. Hadn't thought about staying in Venice? Thoughts.

You should quit your day job and become a travel photographer!

Venice was the city I was most excited about, and ended up being the least impressed with. It is one big giant tourist trap. Not much to do there other than the few museums, walk around and get lost, and shop/eat. I was thinking it would be very photogenic, nut every canal, alley, and piazza looked like all the others.
Murano and Burano were really cool, but you can basically tour those in a day (like we did).
San Marco Piazza was way over priced. We sat down outside at one the restaurants in the piazza for a beer and a Coke, it would have been 33 Euro ($39) for two drinks. We quickly got up and left.
Venice is a must see city one time in your life, but its very expensive if you are not careful. I did a lot of research on the city and they all say get away from the tourist areas in Venice for a better deal, but the entire island is a tourist trap.
If I could go back and re-plan the trip, I would add a night at Cinque Terre, and do one long day in Venice (day trip from Florence).
Florence was beautiful, clean, and amazing.
Granted I had my 14 yo daughter with me, so I didn't go out, but the night life in Rome seemed like the best. The little small pubs in the back alleys were packed at 1-2 am, unlike Florence where it seemed they closed most stuff at midnight.

My next adventure will be in 2020. I am planning a photography trip to Nepal. I want to photograph the Sherpa villages and get within eye/camera sight of Everest (over night trek).
Kathmandu looks incredible with all the temples and monkeys.
Other than the $1500 plane ticket, you can live like a king on $10 a day over there, and the 5-star hotels are less than $100 a night (Airbnb's are like $30 a night).
They are not known for their food. Pot stickers are the go to food item there.
