Metropolitan Museum and Museum of Natural History. Take 1/2 day each at minimum. Ellis Island museum and statue of Liberty.

Take boat to Statue of Liberty but don’t get off, bc you’ll spend 2 hours in line and see pretty much what you can see from the boat. Head back on boat and do something else

As far as bus tours, there is one where everybody sits facing one side in theater seating, I want to try that.

I haven't tried that yet.

What I can say about Gray Line though (and I guess it's probably similar or the same with all of them) is that the tour guides make their living off of tips so the wheat quickly separates from the chaff. On the off-chance you get a crappy tour guide there are automated ones in different language-based channels (you can cycle through them where you plug your headphones in). There's also a channel playing jazz (one of my favorite times was a late September with clear skies and around 65 degrees, riding a tour we had already done and just listening to the music).

Whichever one you do though:

1. Make sure you get a seat up top. Sitting inside sucks balls.

2. They will give free headphones out but you'll be happier bringing your own (both from a sound and comfort standpoint).

3. Bring a bottle of water or three. If the weather is below 65 think about bringing a jacket or a blanket.

4. Wear a hat. You'll be sitting out on the bus for probably an hour or so with little shading (especially if you have thinning hair or are bald).

The city so nice they named it twice. Go to Times Square. It’s called that for the good times you have when you’re in it

The place in the church?

View from my room. Lol

Wife liked it, but I don't feel like sit down pizza.

Did have excellent Schezuan dumplings and soup dumplings today and got the wife and kid knock off purses in Chinatown.

Tomorrow's plans.
Up early, rent bike and ride around Central park.
Take subway to WTC.
do tower and maybe memorial.
It got cold today but warmer than home.
So if too cold may not do ferry.
I've been to liberty island before. .
May then do a museum.
Have to be in Newark to fly home by 5:30ish.

I tried it. Better than 5 guys. Not on Company Burger level.
I like mine to bleed a little.

Was a bit of a nightmare today, but Monday departure probably easier than Sunday.

Took nearly 30 mins from getting off the NJ transit train to arriving at the terminal. Security was a bitch too.

Plane left at 3, got to the gate at 2:45. Perfect timing in my mind, but wife nearly had a meltdown. We took the 1:07 train out of Penn station so might want want to take the next earliest one to give a little cushion.

Msy was bad on the way in. I got to airport at 5:15 for a 6:30 flight and got to gate as plane was boarding.
I only paid $45 for my flight back so it's a 7:30 from EWR, a layover in Charlotte then in Nola for midnight.

Total round trip plus tax $128.
I'm not far from Penn station, but I may end my day in Seaport/ WTC. Then take the PATH to Newark and the train one station to the airport.

Wife and kid are in a group, so they leave 11 hours before me. .I have the day to myself with no baggage (literally , she's taking my bag)
