We were just down there a couple of weeks ago for a music festival. Everything is fully operational and totally back to normal. Key West was luckier that some of the middle and upper keys. No worries about Key West though!

Make sure your affairs are in order.

The crappy drivers in and about Key West make me happy to rent a large four-wheeled vehicle.

Reminds me of when I was there one time. My friends and I were riding scooters, one guy was zipping around and got stopped by a local and said, "you see these hospitals around here, you wreck and you go there and die"

There’s about 1 scooter death a week here. Happens that often. Couldn’t pay me to ride on one.

But yes most of KW is back to normal. The movie theater, a Burger King, and 2 hotels still haven’t re-opened.

Make a reservation in advance for dinner at sunset at Hot Tin Roof at 0 Duval Street. Ask for seating on the patio. You won't be disappointed.

We also like the happy hour (drinks and appetizers half price) at the Boathouse which is in the lower level of the Commodore Restaurant. It's at the docks so the views are great.

We did a booze cruise the last night. It was a sunset catamaran cruise. Really enjoyed it!

Commotion on the Ocean ran by Furry is the best sunset cruise in town.

It's quite possible that it's because I was drunk, but I've always liked that little pizza place on the side of Rick's.

But I was pretty intoxicated every time I ate there.

Been to Key West a few times, Latitudes is a must for dinner. Try and get a reservation an hr before sunset, you will not be disappointed. After dinner, go to Better than sex (dessert restaurant), it’s unbelievable!

If you're a book nerd like I am, Judy Blume has a bookstore down there and is sometimes in there. I loved Superfudge and Tales Of a 4th Grade Nothing when I was a kid, so it was kind of cool to meet her. She's really nice and down to earth. Store is called Books and Books, and has a good selection of books.

Not sure how often she's in there. We may have just gotten lucky and had good timing. She was working the register when we went.
