No. Wynn/Cosmo/Aria are top 3 and honorable mention goes to Venetian.

The Wynn is definitely next level imo. One of the nicer places I've ever stayed at.

I prefer the Flamingo, middle of the strip, and nice pool. I dont spend much time at all inside the hotel room except to get a few hours of sleep so i dont care that much about room/view. Most of the time im walking and gambling.

I stayed at the Aria two years ago and thought the rooms were dated. Even upgraded to a suite

The game.is tough there. I am glad they are finally looking to get rid of the Excalibur

Tearing it down?

Some talk of it every time I go home along with the Luxor. Makes sense but some how Circus Circus keeps trucking along

I stayed at Paris in 2018. Back then one of the two towers was recently renovated and I stayed in that one. The room was great and had a clear sweeping view of the Bellagio fountain. I paid extra to stay in the renovated tower, and to stay in Bellagio facing rooms, and I am glad I did. I think all the other towers where slated to be renovated soon. If I was going to Vegas, personally I would stay there again.

Wynn/Cosmo/aria are the top tier.
I agree with all of this, although the Wynn is pretty far from the action on the strip, so you'll need to take a cab most of the time.
I also got tired of walking from the Aria to the strip, it seemed like it got longer every time.
Cosmo is right in the action, great location and beautiful hotel.
If you're looking for something a little cheaper, I actually enjoy staying at Planet Hollywood. Nice enough rooms and you can get a view of the fountains.

I stayed at Bellagio the one time I went to Vegas and it just came across as tired and run down.
Same here but we enjoyed the stay and didn’t have anything to compare it to. We went about ten years ago when the economy was in the tank and travel to Vegas was down. When we checked it, we had reserved a basic king single for $99 a night. We thought we were at a time-share presentation with the front deck guy trying to get us to upgrade.
We were just fine with what we had and had a great time.

Clientele varies with price ranges.

Bellagio isn’t terrible. The fountains at night and walking through the conservatory is about the highlights. The poker room is popular.
Resorts World just opened across the street from Wynn/Encore and next door to Circus Circus. They have three hotels. Hilton, Conrad and Crockfords. The prices are pretty reasonable. I don’t know their resort fees. The complaint is their parking garage is a walk.
I’d say the top choices are
Wynn/Encore
Venetian/Palazzo
Resorts World
The Mirage
Check out Circa downtown. Biggest sports book in town.
Added: Caesars Palace is likely the best Caesars property. Paris and Planet Hollywood ain’t no slouches though.

So before pulling the trigger on anything I signed in with my Harrah's players card and the Wed/Thurs/Fri were all comped and the Saturday was only $58. With the resort fees and taxes it came out to like $280.
I have an M Life card and can get rooms comped during the weekdays at all the MGM properties. I can get 4 straight nights at NYNY, Excalibur and Luxor. 3 nights at Mirage and MGM Grand.

This isn’t 1998. Bellagio isn’t what it once was. The Cosmopolitan next door has incredible rooms with balconies overlooking the fountains.

This is very true. I think those are some of the best rooms in Vegas, but they are not cheap!

Never understood the need for an expensive room in Vegas. Give me Ballys, mid strip with a room facing the fountains any day. Nice rooms and perfect location.
Did the same about 5 years ago. Great location. But, noticed that it's now very difficult to walk down the strip to sight see. Takes forever. I preferred walking down Fremont Street

I've heard that the Cosmo tends to be a younger crowd. What if you are traveling with kids and using a Vegas hotel as a base to tour a few parks, have some good meals, and see a few family friendly shows?
Is Cosmo still a good choice? Venetian? Bellagio?

How old are the kids and what parks are you wanting to see? I don't think Vegas is a good base for seeing any of the parks. They are too far away. You can get a lot of good Vegas and park advice.
What are you really wanting to see and how old are your kids?

We have already done the Utah Mighty Five. I'm using the term parks loosely here. I'm talking some combination of Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Death Valley, Red Rocks, Valley of Fire. Just something to break up the days on the strip.
Kids are 12 and 14. In Vegas plan to take in a couple of shows, a few of the free casino sites(fountains, exhibits in lobbies, etc.), eat good food, do a little shopping.
Just trying to figure out if the Cosmo is a good choice, or if we should stick with somewhere like Venetian, Bellagio or Mandalay Bay.

Cosmo is the best location and rooms are very nice.
