I went 3 years ago, amazing place but expensive. It's like two different vacation depending on when you go, I suggest around mid to end of February if you want to see the ice caves.

So no vaccination, no trip?

Does this give me a valid reason to tell old people and first responders to get the frick out of my way so I can cut in line and plan a trip for this summer?

I figured they would be the first domino to fall. Their economy is heavily dependent on tourism.

Funnily enough had a trip planned for Spring Break there. Ended up canceling it last week and will be heading to the beach instead.

I’ll have to get back there another time.

Probably no international travel for me this year.

Will see if the vaccine requirements stick or if things continue to relax.

Katrin Jacobsdotti, the PM of Iceland, could make a worse decision regarding me....

It's a bit if a pain but doable to other locations without vaccination if you're not inclined to get one.

This really makes 2021 a great year to visit Iceland, because Iceland, while beautiful, is usually overcrowded and too expensive, especially in the summer.

Not necessarily against it but not in a rush either.

Vaccines have widely open up to more than just those two groups in many places.

Such a sloppy slope, will I eventually give to show the entire vaccination card I've never had to show it before but not I'm having to show proof?

He'll just mandate that you need measles, mumps, and flu vaccinations in order to fly and be safe. Bo telling how many unvaccinated people I've flown with.

Dumb question, but what does this documentation look like?

The only thing Ive seen as proof thus far, is people posting little hand written cards showing they were vaccinated. Seems like a joke and ready to be forged to gain access

Katrin Jacobsdotti,

Fun fact: They don't use last names in Iceland like we do. Her father's last name is Jacob. If she has a brother, he is Jacobson. I would think it gets confusing, but an Icelander told me that they know who everyone is and it is all carefully tracked.

Oh ya, forging those things would be quite easy.

To be fair, there are countries already that require certain vaccinations. Yellow fever in Africa for instance.
I'm not a fan of it but it has been happening for years.
